Yesterday The Mario Galaxy Movie dropped and I had the pleasure to watch it. If you are a Mario and Nintendo fan, you will definitely love it. If you know nothing about Mario or Nintendo.... uhhhhh you might have some mixed opinions about it. Here's my Review:

(Oh and I won't spoiler anything that's already out there before the movie dropped)

Positives:

Like the first movie, the art direction, the music, the CGI, glorious. It was like a world... or rather universe of wonder. Luigi got plenty of screentime (thank god), Yoshi too, and Peach was awesome and badass as the first movie. Rosalina definitely got some folk downbad. Bowser Jr was honestly a better villain in the movie than in the games. And Fox, literally the coolest character in the movie and it's not even close. God, I wish they didn't spoil him with the poster last week. We would have went wild in the theater. Last, but not least, there were so many references to pick up. I might have lost count.

Negatives:

Sigh.... as much as I liked the movie, I gotta address the problems. Once again, it's the pacing. The pacing was better than the first movie, but in the middle it was like "Go here, Go there." in less time to digest everything. The focus on the main plot felt weird. Bowser was not on the same level as he was on the first movie. Lastly, the ending was sort of abrupt. I think the main problem is, like the first movie, 1 hour and 30 minutes isn't enough time. If both movies were 2 hours that could have fixed a lot.

That said, I wouldn't discourage fans to not see the movie. It was definitely good for the fans.
