The keeper species is a species of the void. They live between time and space and so those concepts are meaningless to them. They are record keepers of the galaxy shortened to just keepers.

Traits of all keepers:
- Hooves: keepers of all kinds have cloven hooves
- Large ears: keepers tend to have between one and three large ears
- Void Portals: keepers can open portals to move to and from/through time and space. They can visit any time they wish and retrieve notes/artifacts/ect.
- Paper: most of the keeper species grow paper out of their bodies naturally. The paper they grow is durable, easy to write on, and very hard to tear.
- Above average endurance.
- They only need to eat once a month, but they do need water frequently.

There are many species of keeper and they all have traits specific to them. Most keeper species are flightless, but there are two species that can fly.

As far as breeding goes keepers do breed. However, their breeding period is only for one week at the beginning of the year. This is the time they go in heat. Keepers can take mates of any species, but can only bear young from another keeper. They tend to mate with the one considered their soul mate, but in rare cases there have been promiscuous keepers.
Keeper gestation period is six months. They can work and do not “show” until the last month. Keepers are born in eggs. The eggs vary by the type of keeper being born.

Keepers do wear clothing. They wear clothing from any era altered to fit their form.
