Time to get more serious. (G)
(Please, if you read this, read carefully)
I've been gaming a little much lately,
mostly Second Life, Oblivion and Battlefield 2.
And I'm working 40 hours a week.
Also, last saturday I've been rated on my work at art college.
I got rated "doubtful" which is not too good,
but all is not lost yet, I can still get a chance to get in.
Art college is challenging indeed, things you make there
Don't need to be beautiful, just exciting.
It's hard to understand how art college works.
And, of course, how art itself is/works.
Most things at art college go way different than I expected.
And I must do my best now to get through,
to get accepted into the main course.
It's gonna be tough, but I will make it...I hope.
Also, story has been collecting dust for a while,
I'm hoping to do more on that too.
Good news is though that thanks to work, lots is possible.
I got my computer upgraded, and I have photoshop CS2 now.
And I should be able to buy better sketchbooks and sheets now,
as well as new drawing materials.
I'm trying to create something good, the I've written
has been read by a few people, and they were amazed.
Normal folks though, though, I also showed it to
a real life artist named Nicholas Miles,
is a concept artist for a game company named Blitz.
(Blitz made Xbox games like Fusion Frenzy.)
Nicholas, or Nick as he prefers to be named,
also writes a story, partly fantasy, partly sci-fi.
And wonderful art he made.
(See it yourself: http://www.exula.co.uk )
He liked the story, said I had some good things and plans among it.
And he suggested me to note any other scenes and ideas I have
so I won't forget to add them.
I try to make a story that is full of action, but also
lots of emotion (no, not emo...), and mostly,
as less clichés as possible.
This last part is rather challenging, and to everything the oppsite way
is not the way to do mostly, I noticed.
I'm preffering to not tel too much about the story yet,
as ideas can be stolen these days, and there is no way
to protect them from being stolen.
I think I'm staying rather serious, my story is action like I said,
you might think lots of fights and such, correct, though,
not like there will be lots of bloody fights.
And I don't want to show of the terror of a kill.
Main point of the story is to show lots of emotions;
Times of joy, sadness, anger, fear, but mostly, hope.
The two main characters, Hionimi and Kalineth, are the ones
that will mostly feel these situations.
They might get a lot of trouble, but no matter how heavy
the weight on their shoulders may be, they must and want
to get going.
The story will have a big cliché point of having the good and the bad,
though I found a way to put a rather interesting way, how the bad side works.
And evil isn't where you expect it to be.
Anyway, as I said I don't want to give too much details.
Though, lots of pherhaps curious making art.
But I have to make other works also to get the techniques
I need for art college assignments, I don't want to screw it.
If any of you have any expirience or just useful tips/hints,
please, let me know, thanks.
