Wassup.
I've been an active lurker on the site since 2015.
Eventually I'll start posting some of my own art here, but I have to Build Up Confidence.
I'm an intersex transman, your local gaymer, and an avid pokemon fan.
I'm mostly active on Toyhouse, Discord and various petsites, but I'm gonna try to be more active here.

Unpopular Character Owning Opinion (G)
From what I’ve seen this is an unpopular opinion (especially on Toyhouse but also other places) but-
I really hate when character designers are like “don’t purchase if you’re going to let the design collect dust.”
I’m not a frequent artist, and I only buy comms as I can afford them.
But just because I own a character and am not uploading art or talking about them on my page, doesn’t mean it’s “collecting dust” or “not being used.”
I write things and imagine things about all my characters, and not all of it is going to be posted anywhere. Some of them, I just enjoy looking at and having because they make me happy.
If I’ve paid for a character, I should then be allowed to just OWN it. You got your character payment, I didn’t pay to enter a “I need to now constantly draw or post about this character” contract with you. I paid to own the character. In whatever way I wish to own it.
IDK man I just think maybe don’t police how other people enjoy their characters.
———
This kind of policing ALSO includes “you can’t resell this character unless you add art.”
Absolutely the fuck not. If I paid $40 for this character, and I end up not wanting/not having space for them, I absolutely should be allowed to and WILL resell them for the price I paid. You no longer own it, you have no rights to how they’re sold.
It would be skeevy and wrong to sell them for MORE, but you as an ex-character owner cannot hold money hostage on my account because of some weird hangup you have.
