I think now I know why some people hate furry fandom in general and furry artists in particular.
Recently I've reached several of my all time favorite artists that I followed for 5+ years with a commission inquiry and I received coldest unwelcoming treatment in return. Some of them just ignored my messages, some of them said they will never be open to comms again, some of them just took my money and I never heard back from them.
I guess when you are pretty good with stuff you are doing you become very popular and famous - you gather your regular client base that keep you busy with art and you just don't want to deal with new people anymore. Basically strangers perceived as a threat.
Not one of them, not some of them - all of them been like that. That was very unpleasant experience.
I'm afraid that I will become same kind of person if I continue posting stuff online. I don't want to be a person that hates someone and I don't want to be the person that some people hate, so I decided to stop.
