How to fill out a profile? The way I see it is there are two possibilities. A: I could provide a detailed introduction of myself so that the reader will have a pretty decent idea of who I am. However, this presents several problems. Prominently, a user might learn too much about me too quickly and might skim over my page without getting to know me (when I have things up worth knowing eventually). This might suggest that the second possibility, B: I could provide only a short description of myself so as to encourage the reader to learn more about me, might be a better solution. However, there are risks to this approach as well. For instance, a user might choose to pass over my profile for entirely the opposite reason as before, i.e. the reader has too little information about me to capture their interest for long. A balance between the two approaches may be desirable, however, the degree of skill required to achieve this balance is found only in a handful of skilled wordsmiths. A novel solution, then, might be to present my personal description in an atypical fashion. Perhaps one could draw the reader in with something unexpected before presenting a few short details terminally while openly inviting the reader to delve deeper into the user's profile. Details, such as in my case, like the fact that I have bright purple fur with darker colored stripes and highlights of pink and bright red (all natural I assure you). Also that I have a slight fixation with the feminine mystique that is reflected in my manner of dress and behavio . Additionally that I am highly independent personally ,but that I am prone to submissiveness privately due to my ready-to-please nature and alternatively as a form of escapism from the stresses of life. Hopefully a few short details such as these would be enough to entice the reader to message me privately if they would like to know more about me upon open invitation to do so.

Story "Sketchbook" (G)
First the genre. I'm thinking that a fantasy story would work best. I prefer science fiction, but I don't think I would be able to come up with a convincing reason for my characters to exist in such short a length as 1,000 words. Lets see... I really liked the Mortal Instruments series with the daemons and interwoven worlds/ stories. Also... the Elder scrolls series... and and the Hobbit from Tolkien (forgive me that I haven't read the other Lord of the Rings books). So that's a lot at once. For today I think I'll come up with a specific setting. Ysenfell. First "fantasy" land name I could think of. Ysenfell it is. A small valley kingdom nestled between two great mountain ranges and marked by rolling hills. Green land in a cold region of the continent; magic perhaps? Ruled by a well respected but ancient and dying line of rulers. Unrest due to wild tales of mighty conquests to the south slowly approaching north. No. Nothing political; not enough length. Um... action: a skirmish on the edge of the kingdom that may be a sign of greater battles to come. There is my setting and my theme. Tomorrow I shall sketch a few characters.
