I thought I would write up a bit about my gryphon! I seem unable to upload an avatar, not that I have any pictures of my character yet XD

Talrii (Tahl - Ree)

Feral Female Gryphon (Primarily a red-tailed hawk/fox hybrid with a bit of dragon-like features)

Description:

I'm a bit new at all this so please excuse me if I don't get to everything!

Head - Talrii's head is mostly bird like, covered with fluffy brown feathers. As the down gets smaller and finer towards her beak the feathers gradually take on a red color,
similar to that of a red fox. The little bit of cartiledge where the nostrils are are black, the beak is a deep shade of brown/red, curved down slightly at the tip but not too
threatening looking! Her tongue is pink and her eyes are dark brown with black pupils. Her ears are furred and fox-like, the same brown color as the feathers around them on the outside. Inside the middle is black fur but changes to white fur about halfway to the edges. They are perky and very expressive of her mood!

Body - The down covering her chest is very fluffy and is a light tan color that slowly darkens to brown down towards her belly. Her shoulders and back are more fur than
feathers. There are black stripes down each side of her body that sort of act as a border between the down of her underside and the fur of her back. The fur down her back is mottled with shades of brown from dark to very light, much like the wings of a red-tailed hawk. Which brings me to the wings!

Wings - Her wings are large and majestic, with a wingspan vast enough to carry her body realistically. The tops of her wings are the same mottled shades of brown like the red-tailed hawk. Underneath, the wings are a bit hard to describe, I'll try my best though :) From the shoulders to about halfway down the wing the feathers are short light tan colored. Then the larger feathers extend from there and are off-white colored with thin black stripes over them. And then the tip of each large feather is black.

Forelegs - This is where most of the dragon got to! Her legs start with the same down as her chest but then suddenly all feathers stop before her 'elbows'. The rest of her
forelegs are covered with very fine, very smooth scales of a gold color. Her paws are scaled and have four digits each with long, white talons that can be retracted almost all
the way.

Hindlegs - Her hind legs are more mammalian looking! They are furred and are the same brown color as the down upon her belly. Thick tufts of the fur floof out from behind each of the legs to sort of hide her unmentionables, hehe. The legs are digitigrade and end in large paws with three digits each. They also have large, white talons but they are not so easily retractable. Her hindpaws also have pink pawpads ^^.

Tail - Her tail is long and covered with feathers that usually lay flat unless she is flying. When in the air the feathers will fan out and make it seem almost 4 times as thick as when it is relaxed. The fur around her rump is the same brown as her belly which gives way to red colored feathers, the shade like that of a fox/red tailed hawk. The feathers remain this color all the way until the end where the tip is all white feathers. So it looks like a fox tail but in feather form!

Fun bits XD - She reproduces in the mammalian manner with the reproductive organs to do so (A good ol vajayjay seperate from the tailvent)! And she will give live birth, no eggs.

I think that is everything, this was rather fun to write up! I've been wanting to design my character for a long time now, I hope I can get a picture of her drawn soon :)
