Hello guys, gals and others!

If you know me in other places around the web you may have noticed I'm no longer Tai Ferret in many places. This was my fursona for a long time, from a time before I had even heard of the furry community.

I got interested in otters when I was like eleven years old or so, and from there I started to get interested in other mustelids, which at the time still included skunks according to the books I read. Skunks were my favourite animals for a while and I made a drawing of myself as a skunk at the time. Sometime later when I started high school I got interested in polecats and ferrets, particularly because I found books about keeping ferrets as pets, which I eventually started doing. That was also the time I made my first email address for which I decided on the username "taiferret". I then also made this drawing: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/9699643/ which I based on black footed ferret pictures I collected from the web at the time. By the end of high school I learnt about furries and naturally I started using my black footed ferret as my fursona.

In recent years however, after lots on introspection I feel like I'm more of an otter inside and I wanted to embrace that side of me, so now I have an ottersona. Another thing is I've been questioning my gender. I still haven't figured it all out but for now I'll just consider myself nonbinary. I might do another journal about that at some point.
