Hey everyone! I'm doing another little year-in-review thing, since I'm a nerd for data and I love compiling information like this. Here's a link to last year's, in case you're interested.

Well, as much as I love things like this, it is a little bittersweet this year. On some of my other socials, I've talked about how difficult of a year 2025 has been for me. Fortunately, it's gotten a lot better in the past few months. The first 3/4 of this year were truly awful for me, but I'm happy to report that it's ended strong.

I won't sugarcoat it; I am not happy with the amount that I've written this year. I expect more of myself. People pay me to write, and I did not do so at a pace that I consider acceptable this year. I think the difficulties I've gone through are the primary factor behind my drastically lowered output, and the fact that many of those issues have been resolved hopefully means I'll be back to a more normal pace going forward. We shall see.

With that said, let's look at the data compared to years past!

This year, I published 9 stories. 3 of them went here on FurAffinity, and 6 went on DeviantArt, which you should totally check out!

Last year, I did 26 stories (of which 11 were in the "Weekly Weigh-In" series on DA that I eventually gave up on), so let's call it 15 full stories. In 2023, I uploaded 25 stories.

But the raw number of stories only tells so much of the story, no pun intended. A better metric is how many words I wrote.

In 2023, I wrote 110,231 words across the 25 stories, averaging 4,409.24 words per story.

In 2024, I wrote 156,237 across the 26 stories, averaging 6,009.11 words each. If you exclude the Weekly Weigh-Ins, it's 143,978 in 15 stories, averaging 9,958.53 words each!

In 2025, I wrote 85,122 words across the 9 stories, averaging exactly 9458 words per story.

I averaged 7,093.5 words per month this year, which is a little over half my average of years past (13,338.87 words per month in 2023, since I didn't start writing until May; and 13,019.75 per month in 2024).

7 of the 9 stories I did this year were commissions, and I made a total of $1090.00 from them. That's down from $1446.00 last year, which is to be expected since I wrote less lol. My commissions totaled 68,120 words this year. It makes sense that I averaged less than my $20 per 1,000 word base price since 3 of the 7 commissions were done with a returning customer discount applied.

With all that said, I want to thank everyone who's stuck around, and everyone who's new to my writing. It means a lot that anyone enjoys my stories.
