Hello, and welcome to my profile! I’m Scout (or Shrimp, whichever you prefer), a D&D nerd, hobbyist writer and commission artist currently working on two projects at once. I’m also the owner of a rescue dog named Dodger, who I’ve drawn a handful of times over the last three years since his adoption.
I'm currently working on a trilogy saga under the title “The Lykesho District”. It centers around two siblings of my original species and their struggle to survive the wrath of their ex-boss who wants them dead. It has themes of found family, sacrifice, and the struggle of living with trauma from betrayal and/or broken bonds while trying to understand what “family” really means. It’s a bit of a complicated series that I’m still trying to flesh out.
Aside from that, I’m also working on an AU called “Bolt the Superdog: Project ACE”, which is a darker spin on the fictional TV show from the movie that can be read for free on Archive of Our Own (under WhatTheShrimp). Much like TLD, it has similar themes of found family and betrayal but also elements of what I consider to be slow-burn psychological thriller where the cast doesn't truly know who they can trust.

8 months agoHello, everyone! I finally have a new place to crash with some friends of mine, and I’m so excited! However, my apartment has made breaking my lease rather complicated.
I’ve already looked into going through my employer’s benefits program to try and help with the cost of breaking my lease, but they said it’ll be rather difficult due to how insane it is ($2k to break the lease early). The rent here was raised to nearly double what I was originally paying upon moving in, so my funds are very low. With all that said, I’ve decided to kickstart a GoFundMe page to try and help with getting myself and my dog outta this situation, and into a better one!
