FBB coming here in Houston so gotta make a list on what I should take:

Tent: On the way. Made for three, myself, glacierpaws, and gracefulstalker

Boombox: On the way. May not play CDs (crossing fingers) but has bluetooth and USB port. If my CD's won't play, then I still have sattelite radio and MP3 player. All I want to do is slow dance with my hubby on the beach.

Music: Excuse to update my MP3. Less Madonna, more JLo. Less Paramore, more Skrillex. Maybe my tastes are aging. Also updating CD's with new case that replaces the one I stole from my emo cousin. Nobody needs to see that mess.

Energy: Picking out solar charger since no electricity to charge phone and run boombox. Also always wanted one. Gotta start getting off the grid.

Ice: Starting to stockpile ice in freezer. Take ice out of ice maker, put in plastic bag, keep in freezer while ice maker refills, repeat. I'm not spending 2 bucks on a bag of ice. You may have that kind of cash but I don't.

Meeeeat: I love sausage! Ask my hubby. I got a foot long but gonna need more. Lotta hungry furs. Can't be stingy. Definitely something meaty like a Kielbasa.

Watermelon: I am not going to the beach without a couple of whole watermelons. Large ones. Gotta hit the mercado this weekend. You smash and devour like herbivores. Messy and wet. Like I like it.

Water: I am not dehydrating. I have some large 10 gallon Ozarka bottles. There's a full one and probably some empties around but the one should be enough for a weekend.

Liquor: I am not gonna be sober at night. Wonder what the open container laws are for Galveston? Have a bottle of Fiji Apple Sake and I don't mind chugging that but the hubby will probably want beer so we'll go shopping this weekend.

Fishing Poles: My in-laws say they have some but the neighbors should if they don't. Do I know how to fish? No. Am I gonna learn? Maybe. Would someone who does know gonna be there? Probably. Is it safe t eat what I catch?......Theoretically. Do I know how to prepare a catch? No but I can work around scales. Am I gonna catch anything? Hopefully.

Bedding: We'll need some Yoga mats or something to lay on in the tent. Have some mats that the kids used around the house. Just gotta find them. Got pillows, will risk the sand and bugs. Only need light covers since it'll probably hot as balls.

Fruit: I'm not dying of dysentery. Pick some up at the mercado. Something that'll last a week. Maybe oranges.

Smores: Fuck yeah!!! Get the stuff and make it. Probably make a solar oven so I can eat them during the day. Solar ovens are fun! All you need is a shoe box or pizza box, aluminum foil, black construction paper, tape, and plastic wrap. Harness the power of the sun.

Food: Maybe something else than fruit, meat, and smores. Something substantial. Picnic stuff? Will they last a few days? I'll think about it.

Shovel: Got my work shovel. It's nice.

Fire Stuff: Maybe mesquite wood. Definitely coal. You can never have enough, Any leftover can go to the park fur-meet.

Med Kit: We'll get one together this weekend. Peroxide instead of Alchohol.

Clothes: I'll pick them out soon. I should have everything I need. Wear hightops at night. Got a long lecture about crunchy things on the beach and flesh eating bacteria infecting Galveston from my father-in-law. Don't know how many cases are reported every year but I'm not losing a leg from a cut.

Chairs: My ass will have enough sand in it, I do not want to sit in it. We'll bring a couple.
