Maple stands just a tad taller then an average Poochyena at 2 feet, which helps contribute to a slightly greater weight at 38 pounds. He maintains a healthy diet of berries, puffins, and even a malasada or two once in a while when he manages to get his paws on one. Oran berries, in spite of them being very common, are his favorite type of berry, closely followed by sitrus berries; however, he likes mostly all kinds of berries, except for a select few. Maple sports a toned, healthy build with some tufts of fur near his croup and shoulders. His tail is moderately bushy, it's fur fanning out to make it look somewhat thicker than what it actually is. His ears are almost near perfect triangles save for the curve on the sides. They mostly always stand in an upright position above his head mainly due to always being attentive of his surroundings and keeping alert. Perhaps one of the most common traits of any Poochyena are the fangs sticking out of their maw and Maple sports a razor-sharp quartet of 'em. Perhaps small, but nonetheless mighty. Poochyena are called the Bite Pokémon for a reason and he has no issues in proving to others why that is if they ever cross him the wrong way.
This golden Pooch is nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to being a Poochyena beyond his extremely rare colors. Much is yet to be learned about his origin for not even his parents' whereabouts are currently known or, for that matter, who they even are. Was he perhaps a shiny reject left to fend for himself after being released when a trainer bred for a competitive Poochyena? Or was he naturally born from a mated, wild, pair and he somehow got separated from his family? Nobody knows, including Maple himself. Nor does he care.. Or pretends not to. All he knows is that he is alive, looking forward to the future, and avoiding the onslaught of Pokéballs that get thrown his way due to his 'rarity'.
All that is currently known about this wandering Pooch is that he has a clear distaste and animosity towards those human evil teams such as Team Rocket, Aqua, and Magma. Why? Because, in his eyes, they use other Pokémon such as himself for their own nefarious agenda which in turn gives others like himself a bad rep. Just because he is a Dark (Or 'evil' type) does not make him a total asshole to others nor does it describe his personality as an individual. He has, unfortunately, encountered many others whom prefer to see the stereotype in him than to truly give him a chance to show others how he can be different. Due to this being forced upon him by the impression left by these human teams, he often prefers to stray from humans altogether in spite of the fact he is clearly aware not all humans are like that. In short, for a human to gain his trust, it may and will take a whole lot more effort than any other non-human creature attempting to make a good impression on him.
He has often humored the idea of becoming a vigilante against those evil human teams, perhaps help those Pokémon earn their freedom from a lifetime of servitude being forced to do universally-agreed upon unethical activities. He will not question those whom have their interests align with those of their human companions, but he will not second guess freeing a 'mon being forced into such activities when they clearly do not wish to participate in them. Cases in which Pokémon are clearly not the companions of these evil organizations and have been, without any shadow of a doubt, abducted from their true human companions will be targeted and released so they can find the comfort of being at their true trainer's side once more..... Or so he wishes he could do. A lone Poochyena such as himself cannot, unfortunately, accomplish much of that on his own.
His story unfolds every day and new discoveries are made as his life goes on. Perhaps, through his journeys, he will learn more about his origin, about what he wants to do in life, and how he will get there. A foggy memory prevents him from fully recalling previous events in his life, but perhaps new experiences will help make them shine in a clearer light. All in all, Maple is kind and welcoming to others.

Salvetour - The Story of an Alpha (G)
Jealousy. A gruesome disease that, if not controlled, can consume even the purest of souls; being an endless empty feeling that makes any being want to fulfill, jealousy can easily destroy a life and ultimately cause harm to those whom posses what the jealous being so clearly wants to obtain. It can even come to the point in which the outburst of jealousy is so uncontrollable that they end up causing harm to whom never deserved harm to begin with. The story about to unfold is all about jealousy. A futile attempt to obtain something that, though being enviously admired for him to obtain, was not something for him to claim. Time heals all wounds, but scars always remain a permanent momento of, possibly, events that we do not ever want to remember, events that we never wanted to happen.
He was in a normal pack, raising to the contentment of his heart and being taken care of as if he was the only puppy in the world. Though having siblings, he was always the one to be looked upon and have expectations of as for he was not just the oldest of the litter, but he was also the most agile, dexterous, and strongest pup to be born within the pack. He clearly possessed a lot of potential, so he was dubbed to become the future leader of his pack. A destiny that was ambitiously enticing devious desires from his step brother. The step brother of our young wolf was named Allakay. A non-pure blood wolf born within the StarGleam Wolf Pack. A pack that, in time, proved itself to be the strongest and most respectable pack within the confined land. No other packs within the shared land would question or act upon the decisions made by StarGleam for it always proved to hold the right answer.
Like in any other pack, there were rules to be followed; not only rules, but also expectations and heritage to preserve. One of the rules which ultimately deliberated the horrifying events that were about to unfold was that only pups of pure blood that are born within the pack may hold up a high-ranking position. In other words, to become a Beta or an Alpha of the pack, the pup must have been born fully within the pack. Both of the parents must have been born within the pack as well before a qualifying pup could be born. If one of the parents was not within the pack, then the pup was not of pure blood and, therefore, not allowed to possess a high rank. Though cruel, it was one of the main customs in the pack that has been followed for over a century of heritage. Allakay, unfortunately, fitted this category and, though he proved himself to be more than capable of taking leadership of the pack, he failed to comply with the requirements of such.
It was precisely at this point in which our young heir, Salvetour, now fully-grown and ready to take on his birth right, was the next heir to take on the pack after his parents. Both, his mother and father had taught him everything that he needed to know to be an Alpha. He showed slightly more potential than his envious step brother and, added to being of pure blood, he got along with every other wolf within the pack pretty well; every one of which also looked upon him for advice and direction. He was respected and admired, so he was the perfect choice for leadership.
During this time, Allakay's judgment became obscured, blind-sighted by what his non-pure brother was gaining, and he was not. He saw Salvetour, despite of their relatively close relationship as siblings, as not the one who should become the next Alpha. Allakay was born within the pack through the same mother as Salvetour, but the father was not the same. Not only was Raggoxtus the Alpha of the StarGleam pack, but he was also the one who took in the young rogue, already impregnated, female that was later to conceive Salvetour. Raggoxtus, being the name of his father, was nice enough to allow for the ex-member and impregnated female to come back to the pack after being banished for a fair amount of time. Though she was a wolf of pure blood to be born within the pack, the litter that was resting in her womb prior to re-joining, was not. The reasons of her temporal banishment from the pack rest unknown and buried in ancient history, but part of the reasons why Raggoxtus accepted the impregnated female to come back to the pack was because he always had a growing fondness towards her from the days both of them were pups. By the time he allowed her back in, however, she was already impregnated by a rogue male that ventured with her in her days as a lone wolf; a male that was, unfortunately, killed in a rampage of fleeing deer during a hunting spree. The mother of Salvetour and Allakay, Tenicia, later became the Female Alpha of the pack by being mated to Raggoxtus.
With time, Tenicia became pregnant once again, but this time the pups within her womb were of pure blood as for the father of such was the rightful Alpha of the pack. It was within this litter in which Salvetour was born. Tenicia, acknowledging the rage and jealousy of her son Allakay, grew very wary yet sympathetic of his understandable desires; after all, it was Tenicia, herself, whom felt was at fault for letting a rogue male impregnate her when the possibility of returning to the pack was not farther from possible. The course of her actions led to this very moment in which one of her pups would want to be Alpha, but he would not be able to due to bloodline. As much as Tenicia did her best to dissuade her son from claiming something that was unfortunately not his, Allakay, by then, had reached a point of no return; his jealousy had peaked and caused for reason to be thrown out the window. He had all the right to be angry as for he had been within the pack far longer than his step brother, Salvetour, ever was, so he was far more experienced and knowledgeable of the way of the pack. Not was he only capable of being Alpha, but he was slightly stronger as well. The simple fact that he was not of pure blood was what made his unfulfilled dreams and desires escalate his anger beyond control.
The last strands that kept him tied to sanity and reality became loose at this very moment, so he started to act upon it. A desire to kill those who were in the way of his dreams overtook his demeanor and, therefore, proceeded to challenge Raggoxtus to a death match; his own adoptive father. If he was not going to earn his position through birth, he was going to do so through death. The now old and energy-drawn male simply stared down at his beloved son; a mortifying and rather disappointing look was seen in his eyes as his last facial expression before the deadly fangs of Allakay finished the life of this highly-esteemed leader. Enraged and baffled from seeing his step brother fail to contain his jealousy that caused his father's death, the now new Alpha, Salvetour, was forced to banish Allakay from the pack. Though he was the killer of his beloved father, he understood and comprehended the jealousy of his step brother, being this the only reason his life was spared; however, Allakay did not take the decision of the new Alpha lightly and proceeded on his deadly rampage. The next victim of his was his very own mother; though always having been sympathetic and affectionate, his mother, in his eyes, was the one who destined him with this unobtainable dream of his. By then, Allakay was insanely obsessed with becoming Alpha and would not allow anything to stand in his way of doing so.
Salvetour, despite of his warnings, already knew the intentions of his half-blood brother, so he wisely commanded for the hunters and scouts of his pack to keep a close watch of the borderlines separating the land they claimed from the wilderness. Scouts were being put on 12-hour shifts, constantly awaiting the return of the deranged and banished brother. Days went by and there was clearly no sign of Allakay which led to the constant guarding of the pack to slightly lessen. It was after Allakay noticed this when he decided to silently sneak within the borderlines of the pack and venture over to the den in which his mom was sleeping. Completely in stealth, the lone wolf entered her den and heartlessly murdered his mom by snapping her neck from the pressure applied by his strong paws; he made sure, this way, not to make her bleed in the slightest so to avoid leaving a trail of blood when he left the den. The following morning, the pack woke up to find the eldest member of the StarGleam Wolf Pack dead and, though with little evidence pointing to the murderer, it was quite obvious whom the culprit was. Now completely infuriated, the Alpha rushed into the wild by following the faint smell on the carcass of his mother that he knew belonged to his step brother.
The search, despite of having a trail, was not easy as for Allakay was not a stupid wolf. He knew that Salvetour would be looking for him, so he masked his scent by using the fauna and flora that surrounded him. As Salvetour proceeded with his determined search, he found the trail to become weaker and weaker thanks to the smart techniques his brother applied; however, eventually came the day in which Allakay no longer succeeded in his stealth tactics and failed to prolong his hiding. Salvetour had successfully found his brother and so he stood in front of him with the deadliest of glares.
Stalking forth with a scrunched up nose and baring fangs, the Alpha closed the gap between both of their silhouettes. Razor-sharp claws from both of the males were at full display and grasping at the dirt below them. The growls shared between the brothers was that of pure malevolence and hatred, but also disappointment and remorse; Allakay for the actions he carried due to his high levels of jealousy and Salvetour for his birth-giving right and the ambitious desires of his unfairly-treated brother. It was, after all, a cruel play on circumstance. Salvetour understood his brother's position, but was unforgiving on his ultimate decision.
It was not long before they both engaged into deadly combat; fangs were completely exposed from their fully parted jowls as they sprinted and tackled each other. The force of the tackle and the weight of their builds equaled each other so they both crashed in the navel of the battlefield; however, Allakay was the first one to recover from stagger and soon rose to his strong paws. A devious grin became apparent upon the curving edges of his muzzle as he closed the distance between him and his fallen brother once again. By the time Salvetour recovered from stagger, he was not allowed to stand up as for he found himself pinned against the ground by the slightly larger form of Allakay. The pinned Alpha was obviously in a predicament, but nothing that his high wit and levels of fighting could not take him out of. Three deadly claws were aimed towards the right eye of the black wolf, but with a quick motion of his cranium, he successfully dodged the attack up to the point that the claws met the flesh right below his eye instead, leaving him with the permanent scar he wields to this day. The deep wound aroused more anger from within him and so he quickly rolled from underneath his pinned position to later come to a full stand with hackles raised and fangs baring. Without hesitation, the rage-driven male bounded over to his step bother and easily tackled him to the ground like Allakay had previously done; however, Salvetour was smart in doing so since all of his four limbs towered on top of those from his brother, leaving him with limited mobility and with a very slim chance to escape; especially when his claws made their way deep into the paws of Allakay; this enticed for a high-pitched whine to escape from his vocal chords and thus forcing him to stay still knowing that further movement would only make the claws of his brother dig deeper and cause more harm to him.
The final glance between the step brothers was quite a lengthy one. Flashbacks from their puppyhoods came rushing back from their committed memory. Times in which they would rather chase their own tails than worry about who will be the next Alpha; times in which they would rather play with each other instead of wanting to actually harm one another. It was these very heart-warming moments which brought a final hesitation to the death penalty he had sentenced Allakay with, but he knew that the actions performed by Allakay were far too unforgivable for him to remain without proper physical punishment. It was with a great mixture of sadness and rage that the young Alpha carried on with his sentence and cracked the neck bone that kept Allakay alive. With all that had transpired, all the pain that Allakay brought to him by killing both of his parents, he somehow restrained himself from making his brother's death painful and agonizing; it was already too much to bare that he had to commit actions that he thought he would never have to perform... Killing his own family, or what was left of it.
Hurt beyond repair, Salvetour simply couldn't see himself back to his home. If this was what meant to be an Alpha,.. to endure such unbearable pain every time tragedy strikes then.. he wanted none of it. He'd rather live a life of solitude and misery than experience the heartbreak of losing someone he loved. StarGleam disbanded weeks after that. Without an Alpha, the Beta and other members of the pack thought it would be best to start a new life of their own, for the image of StarGleam was tainted.. If a pack couldn't hold peace within its own family, how could it hold peace at all?
