To those who might actually follow my work: (G)
Seeing as my last journal entry was from the first half of autocross season, I figured it was about time to update anyone who might actually watch me:
I've been reading through my old work lately, and I'm not impressed with what I've been seeing. It seems most of my work is not as good as I remember it being - and that was from back when I had the time and motivation to actually put some thought into it. These days, when I actually sit down and try to write, I find it almost impossible to do justice to the story I have in my head. It disappoints me, because everything is still in there - It's just not coming out even half-decent anymore. This fact, combined with my impressive lack of free-time and the apparent disappearance of the few regular readers I once had, has effectively eliminated my desire to create and upload written work here.
That being said, I should point out that I still posses the same desire to interact with my subconscious that drove me to create in the first place; it's something that is a part of who I am as an artist and therefore cannot be changed by external factors like time or audience. These days, I am finding that I have much more success delving into my creative subconscious through drawing - and therefore I have transitioned towards it as my primary medium of expression. However, I posses neither the skill nor the perception thereof to create and upload quality works on a regular basis - so don't expect much.
What I'm getting at with all this rambling is that I have transitioned from writing to drawing as my primary means of expression. I have one written piece that I am quite fond of still in the pipelines, and it is near enough to completion to realistically believe that I might finish it. However, all other written works - including Unconditional and future prompt responses - are now on indefinite hold. I will continue to upload my visual work, but at about the same frequency as I have before - rarely.
Thank-you all for your time and support, and I hope to hear from you in the future
