Hello there. You can call me Rowan and my artist name is GelatoPenguin/ryokun. Around 2017 was when GelatoPenguin came to be, and ryokun I guess is my secondary artist name. I'm a male bisexual(more gay than straight) sfw/nsfw anthro artist in my late 20s. I don't have a main fursona per-se but I have a humansona plus a couple animal crossing fursonas for new leaf and new horizons due to my love for those games.

I'm just a pretty quiet, chill guy who usually keeps things to myself, prefers to be in the sidelines, not really a social guy due to anxiety issues. I'm also a casual gamer for the most part, mostly Nintendo franchises with Animal Crossing, Warioware, Smash bros, and Pokemon being my top favorites.

I used to be a traditional artist using pencil and a sketch pad followed by scanning the drawings with a scanner and digitally color them. Ever since summer of 2019 I've been moving to just doing art digitally thanks to a tablet I use. I also occasionally use my 3ds on the Flipnote Studio 3D app for doodles.
The art style I'm going for is on the simple, soft and cute side with an eastern style influence, with the bodies having some humanoid qualities with the heads and other body features looking fairly close to whatever animal they're supposed to be. In my art I like to focus on the characters, I don't normally think too much about the background so my backgrounds are either simple or....maybe average.

What I like to draw involves:
-Making new characters
-Doing design updates
-General doodles that sometimes go to the scraps folder
-Fanart that's mainly characters from the animal crossing series
-Vanilla nsfw art
I don't draw stuff involving guro, scat or watersports.
I draw pretty much guys that range from young adults to older men. The body types are either chubby, muscular or in between, but I like to draw chubby bodies the most with some of them to have body hair. My interests for females is pretty picky and drawing them can be rare for me but I mostly like them chubby and looking relaxed. Drawing nsfw art is fun because it gives me motivation to draw in different poses, if only I get that same motivation to draw sfw art.

Ever since I was a kid I always liked to daydream about characters I made up in my head based off of shows I used to watch. In my teens was when I got into developing characters to have personalities and make up scenes in my imagination. Because of all this I find making characters such a fun thing to do in an almost passionate way. It certainly makes me want to make a new character every now and then.

I just draw what I want basically; my art is just a hobby of mine and I don't like to make profits with it.

People say I have potential to become a great artist. I admit I don't fully believe that but I'm gonna see how far my artistic life will go regardless. I'm not aiming to be an expert artist or even be known in the community but people seem interested in my art so I'd post whatever I feel comfortable with showing.
