Okay so I've had a bit of skill with programming since high school, back in the 90s. The logic behind it was simple to understand, and it was enough that I would just create programs to do all my math for me the moment I figured out a new equation I could plug in. And considering that I loved video games, it was only logical that some day I'd try my hand at making them. Nothing major, I'm not a pro nor do I have any interest in being one, but I love the idea of making an entertaining game for people. I made a small MORPG on BYOND back in the day, but lost all the files when I had to abandon that old computer. It wasn't until 2021 when I tried my hand at making something again.

Inspired by a Discord Game called "Virtual Fisher" I thought to myself, "text based is easy since I have no artistic talent, and I could take my love of RPGs and Idle games, throw in some light multiplayer aspects, and make something fun." It's been my hobby I've come back to day after day since I started, and I don't think I'll ever fully "complete" it. I made a game that I would want to play, essentially, and I'm always looking for more people to play it because giving others some joy or fun is a big part of what makes it fun for me. I don't try to monetize it in any way, there's no purchases to make nor are there any donation links. I happily pay server and art rental costs out of pocket.

Narokwi RPG is placed in a fantasy setting based off of a successful homebrew TTRPG campaign I ran a few years prior. In the game you play as the head of a mercenary guild tasked with enforcing the laws of the city of Narokwi, an underground civilization living under a chain of mountains off in a tundra continent. The game's 14 playable races ( including werebeasts, cat men, dragons, and kobolds! ) can all be found there living together as best they can. Your job is to help your guild grow by unlocking new buildings and upgrading them as well as taking your main playable character, your "champion", up to as high a level as you please between prestiges. When you reach a certain level you can choose a prestige bonus that will make your next play through easier and your guild and champion get reset.

There are aspects of idle play, but the main game revolves around combat where you train up your champion and gather resources for upgrading the guild, and professions where you gather resources more directly and easily. In addition there are also bounties, quests, an arena, a daily dungeon, continental wars, and a world boss with more features planned soon. Right now the next features involve more heavily multiplayer aspects such as a party dungeon where champions band together and campaigns where an alliance of guilds fight through a military conflict. Since the next features take a lot of multiplayer work, I've decided to focus on growing the playerbase around now. That's why I'm writing this, to invite you to come join us.
