When the exemption to the cub smut rule for Pokemon and Digimon was removed a couple years ago, I decided to treat whining about it¹ as a reason to do a basic reconsideration of my watches and a dropped a number of old watches as a result².

Well, I've started seeing people doing the same kind of whining about purging ancient notifications who couldn't be bothered to take advantage of the nearly a year of lead time they had to prepare. One has already gotten themselves unwatched, I expect there will probably be a couple more who make me go "why was I watching you again?"


1: Especially when the whining made it clear the person hadn't bothered actually reading the announcement, the long existing rule, or both.

2: Mostly due to "this person now posts maybe one thing a month," and/or "they only post garbage/non-art now."
