Life Update: Plans for 2026 (G)
Happy New Year, and also I'm not dead!
I'm going to start with saying that I'm okay. I've finally sold that unsafe condominium to a buyer while breaking even (or at least close to breaking even).
Let's recap how my life has been since moving to Las Vegas from California. In late 2021 I've moved over as my job allowed me to transfer to a new building which kick-started my life of independence, and I had to learn quick that getting the cheapest rental unit without touring was a horrible idea. 2022 while discomforting was a relaxed year when my mother convinced my younger sister and I to pool our money to invest in a condominium. I made a bad decision to pick an unsafe neighborhood with no gates just because it was the cheapest place that was closest to my last jobsite. I've said this last year but 2023 was my worst year which thankfully isn't tragic, but I had to quit my favorite job when it shifted under new management making it unsustainable and dealt with one unhinged roommate for four months. 2024 was somewhat better since I was able to secure a new stable job and find more relatable roommates though we had our own troubles at times. 2025 was my most stressful year as I had to prepare my home for sale, hold several people accountable for my home damages and repairs, and juggle mortgage and rent when I moved out of my house on February.
No one should have to go through what I had to as it stifled my creative drive to draw furry content. I've retreated from social media and into a single Discord voice chat and a few live service games. I appreciate my job giving me mandatory 10-hour shifts in the fall semester but that made it a lot more difficult to regain my desire to draw. I've had two commissioners waiting on me for a whole year and a half for owed works. That is humiliating for me as I myself criticized several prolific artists with technical art skills higher than mine having the same unprofessional deadline mismanagement. For the sake of my family's finances and my own, I had relapsed into my video game addiction to hold my sanity and regressed into a recluse.
My plans for 2026 are the following:
• Resume creative productivity including drawing anthro content and video game development.
• Buy a new desk, chair and drawing tablet adjustable stand. I can't keep slouching just to draw.
• Search for a new job with part-time hours so I can have time for myself and reopen for commissions.
• Build retirement to invest high and retire early.
• Go back to college and get an associates degree in game design just to say I finished school.
• Finish my backlog of video games and reduce purchases of newer and time-consuming titles.
• Get back into 3D-modeling, invest in a virtual reality set and start socializing with other VR users.
• Match with a girlfriend and go on proper dates.
Of course I'm just writing words and I have proven nothing. I don't blame anyone reading this to think I'm full of it and that this journal is a waste of time to read, but I'm writing this for myself to look back and tell myself that this is where my successes begin anew. AI generated content may have changed the art community landscape for the worse with deceptive scammers and artist impersonators but I'm not going to let that demotivate me. I'm telling you guys and to myself that this is the year the risque raptor returns.
Talk to you guys again soon.
P.S. I finally invested in a new computer but I'll still need some new furniture and equipment at some point to draw comfortably again.
