After fourteen years, we have reached the 150th Rhode Island Furbowl! I would like to thank all of the attendees who have supported this event over the years and the staff of East Providence Lanes where we've been for about the last twelve and a half years.

Please pay attention to the details in this post. There may be some people coming who have never been to the RI Furbowl before, so here are the full rules and what to expect:

Anyone under the age of 16 who is attending any RI Furs meet must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must stay in attendance at the meet at all times. Preferably, that person should have a familial relationship with the attendee and be at least 18.

If you see something, say something. If anyone is making you uncomfortable, please bring it to our attention or the manager’s attention immediately. Don't wait until after the event.

Any attendee wearing something that can be viewed as objectionable by general public standards, at Cirrus’s discretion, will be asked to either change up, cover up or leave if they cannot comply.

DATE & TIME: RI Furbowl 150 will take place on Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at East Providence Lanes at 80 Newport Avenue, East Providence. (MAP IS HERE) Please note that this will be an afternoon event, not an evening one.

A pre-Furbowl park meet at Slater Park in Pawtucket will be scheduled for earlier that day. Details will come in the future.

SOUVENIR BADGE: Anyone who attends will receive a special souvenir badge for free. You must be present at the Furbowl to get this badge. Badges will NOT be mailed out before the event nor given out after the event if you did not attend.

A Google Form has been created so you can have your name printed onto a sticker that will go with this badge. The link to the form is here: https://forms.gle/p1dqcRgYhbJgT2Sm6 (THIS FORM WILL BE CLOSED AT 11:59 P.M. ON THURSDAY, APRIL 30.) If you still attend but do not fill out this form, your name will be hand-written onto the badge.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Do NOT enter the building while wearing your fursuit head. Do NOT enter the building through the emergency exit next to Lane 1. Come in through the main entrance, pass the front desk and head to the left towards Lane 1. Cirrus and others will be seated at a table where you will sign in via either a QR code or a paper form. You will be asked for your real name, your furry name (if any), some form of contact information (phone number, Telegram name, E-mail address, etc.), if you are bowling and how you are paying. This is used to keep track of who shows up and helps with liability if something should happen at the event. Please take the sign-in process seriously. In the past, people have entered fake names, skipped information or not entered information at all. Cirrus is the only person who will hold onto this information.

COST: Due to Cirrus bringing decorations and desserts, the cost for this event only will be increased over the usual price. The cost for attending will be $10. If you are bowling, it will cost $25. This includes use of the party room, the lanes and shoe rentals. Forms of payment are cash, debit or credit cards and PayPal. If you are planning to pay with a debit card, you must wait until bowling is done. We are aware that some people may have to leave early, but unfortunately, we cannot pay earlier. If you are using PayPal, Cirrus will supply his E-mail address.

All attendees will receive a wristband after they have properly signed in and paid. NO ONE is allowed past the registration desk until you have received your wristband.

BOWLING: $25 TO BOWL. There are likely going to be five or six lanes of ten-pin bowling (not duckpin). Rental shoes are picked up at the front desk and included in the price. You may go to the front desk at any time to get your shoes. If you have a fursuit, you can be on the lanes with footpaws. The lockers on site are NOT for our use. If you have valuables, then either lock them in your car or keep them with you at all times. Please share the bowling lanes with other people. We suggest to have four to six people on a single lane.

PARTY ROOM: It is an open space with tables and chairs. However, it is not secure and you should keep an eye on your valuables (personal electronics, fursuit parts, etc.). Since the room is being used for fursuiters, please bring any fans, extension cords or power strips.

FOOD:
* DO NOT BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD unless it is approved. There are signs by the front door stating that no outside food is allowed, however, birthday cakes and certain pastries are accepted as part of a formal party. If you plan to bring something to share, please let Cirrus know before the event. There is a concession stand on the opposite end of the alley and you are free to purchase things there. There is also a bar and all standard Rhode Island alcohol consumption laws are in effect. Underage drinking is not allowed and do not buy drinks for those who are underage. If you do drink, please do so in moderation.
* We usually have post-bowl dinners at local restaurants in either East Providence, Seekonk or Attleboro. Please make arrangements with others while the Furbowl is going on to decide on where you are going. Please try to limit your group to less than ten people so that you don't have a significant delay while at the restaurant at night. It is also recommended to call ahead and see if the place takes reservations.

DRESS CODE AND FURSUITS: Ears, tails, collars and fursuits are welcome. Please do not wear any clothing that is overly revealing or features offensive words or images. The party room can be used as changing space and a break area for fursuiters. There are also bathrooms where you can change up instead. As mentioned before, the party room is not secure, so you should keep an eye on your valuables.

PHOTOS/VIDEOS: If you are taking pictures or video, please ask for consent from your subjects. Some people may not be comfortable being filmed. A group photo is usually taken during the event. It is always announced early to give people plenty of time to be prepared, yet some people change up at the last minute. Please be in your fursuit and ready for the group photos when the time comes.

Please clean up after yourselves when you leave. Be courteous to the bowling alley and place the bowling balls back onto the racks when you are done.
