Artwork, Money, and the Walmart Mafia (G)
15 years ago
One day I will get around to scanning some of the things I've drawn recently... it's been quite a while since I had a scanner, hence the time it's been since I've posted a new picture. I'm trying to get back into drawing more regularly, but I'm finding it really hard to have enough time, between spending 10-13 hours either at work or in transit to and from work, trying to spend time with my mate, and trying to somehow fit 4 hours of sleep in there... Oh well, not like I'm complaining, well, maybe about the work part... =P
Also, I love getting artwork ^_^ With all the working I'm doing, you'd think I'd have a little spare change to buy a commission or something, but no... I have had a couple of people draw for me, though, which was nice. Behold the sketch
maskedpuppy drew for me! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4386330/ *giggles* I also have a conbadge I need to get up here somehow as well. Much thanks to the nameless one (who shall remain nameless) who got it for me! And thank you to the ones who have drawn for me! Forgive my shoddy memory for not keeping names together! >,<
In other, somewhat related news, I seem to have gotten the Walmart Mafia after me. Thankfully there seems to be only one member for now. . . . One of my co-workers gave us a futon, telling us that she'd like about $20 for it, but specifically said that it wasn't a big deal if we couldn't afford it because it was just going toward buying her son a video game. (Said co-worker is about to move to Hungary, and her last day was Friday.) In other words, "Here, have a couch. [full stop] Could I have $20 to buy my son a game? [full stop]" To me, pay for it only if you can afford to. Well, we can't afford to. Period. To the point that if she had said, "I'll sell you this couch for $20," I'd have told her that I couldn't. So we have a new futon now, which is quite nice. Then, almost a week after she gives it to us and says /nothing/ about money at work, I get stopped by another co-worker, who tells me that co-worker A asked to borrow $20 and said I would pay co-worker B back for it. Therefore, in essence, because co-worker A will shortly be out of country, it somehow falls on poor, broke /me/ to pay her debt to co-worker B. Sounds like the Mafia to me >,< I learned today that co-worker B is willing to work with me, though... she'll be "happy to take the couch instead" *growls softly* Oh, and did I mention that there is also a co-worker C, whom A told could buy the couch before she gave it to me? So now co-worker C wants to know if I still have it, because she was promised it first (for money). The worst part? It's a /nice/ futon... *sigh*
Edit: Um, oops, I managed to link to the wrong picture... should be working now though ^^;
