The Character Me: Christoper 'Rayn Cloud' Rayning, or Rayn for short is just y'average tabbycat. A short layer of dark grey fur, the color of storm clouds (Hence the nickname) covers most of his body. The only parts that aren't that color are the small patch of white on his chest, the usual tabbystripes and spots that dot his body and the six rings that run the length of his tail. A pair of emerald green eyes hidden behind black-framed glasses are the only splashes of color on his otherwise drab body.

The Real Me: I'm pretty similar to Rayn as far as personality goes. I'm an optimistic guy for the most part, always trying to see the good side of things if I can, which can be hard in this day and age. I too have a strange sense of humor: I think it's funnier to swat a buddy in the nuts without warning (and vice-versa) than to watch a comedian. I'm gay too, just to throw it in. I'm not all in your face about it. I don't wear cut-off jean shorts and pink t-shirts. I'm just a guy who happens to like other guys, trying to make my way through the world.

Beyond that, I love music. I love to listen to it. I love to talk about it. I love it so much that I wish I could sing or play an instrument. Matthew Good is by far my favorite musician, followed closely by bands and musicians like Barenaked Ladies, The Beatles, Buck 65, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Ben Folds and so many, many more. About the only stuff I don't listen to on a regular basis is the classical stuff, Bach and Mozart and, like, metal of any kind. Just not my thing.

I have other interests that I'll try and touch on in some of my journal posts, provided I remember to; I'm horrible for forgetting stuff like that.

Far as what you'll see from me here, it'll probably be mostly stories, maybe poems, stuff like that. I'm just getting over a year and a half case of writer's block, so you'll probably see something up here sooner than later. You won't be seeing pictures, though. I am not an artist in even the worst sense of the word. Seriously, I suck. And not in that, 'Oh-you're-probably-not-that-bad-everyone-is-hard-on-themselves' way. I suuuuuuck.

So yeah....That's it for now, I think. I'll add more as it comes, I guess.
