When I got back home from work—it was around 4 p.m. and sizzling hot—I saw this big doggo lying on the road like it was dead.
She was either sunbathing or just had absolutely nothing better to do.

Anyway, we kind of befriended each other a while back. So I went inside to drop my bag, take off my helmet and jacket, then grabbed some dog treats I had bought earlier (dried beef jerky). After that, I walked outside and approached her.

It was a rare moment since we don't see each other often. I gave her a few big pieces of jerky. It clearly wasn’t enough—she ended up following me back home. Nope, not happening. So I walked back toward my neighbor’s house, placed the rest of the jerky on the ground, and dashed back home.

Background:
She’s been around for quite a while. I used to think she was a stray until I saw a neighbor open their door and let her in. I had assumed she was homeless because she roams around alone, takes herself on walks, or lies on the road like she’s either dead or tanning.

Still, I’ve been kind of interested in her, so I randomly bought some dog treats—biscuits and beef jerky. She seemed scared of strangers at first. The first time we met, she was terrified when I tried to pet her head.

Oh well. That’s history now.
