My Life's Story
Hi! My name is Phillip David Isidore Pokora, also known as “Philly” Pokora. I am an arctic wolf.
I was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, and used to live with my parents and my two brothers. Sadly, both my parents and both my brothers died as a result of horrendous injuries sustained from a car accident. I woke up in Huron Memorial Hospital in Bad Axe three days later. The doctors thought it was a miracle I was still alive. I had sustained severe injuries, including an irreversible spinal cord injury, several broken and displaced bones, and ruptures to my bladder and spleen. I was to be raised by my grandparents since they were first in line to take care of me. They lived on a farm, which instilled lots of memories.
As a result of my injuries, I was bound to a wheelchair for most of my life, and developed complete incontinence. With my paraplegia, I had problems even attempting to crawl. I eventually got used to army crawling as my upper body became stronger. My incontinence was so severe I had to start wearing cub diapers again. I disliked it so much that I started calling them poofy underwear. My grandparents treated me with the utmost respect, and expected the same from their other grandchildren. That isn’t to say I didn’t have problems in school, however. Good thing I got out of it was that I met four of my closest friends ever.
Right at around age six, while moving around the corn field, Jesus taught me how to control plants. He had me test with a corn stalk just to prove that I had it. As I started going to elementary school in Parisville, I would always carry with me a flower or a bean plant to keep me company. My friends would be very interested in what I was capable of doing with the plant. At the end of the day, I would play with my friends, and my plushy Geoffrey.
At age sixteen, I had started to get the hang of standing on my own two feet, which took practice. With help, I was able to support myself and walk with the aid of brace crutches. If I was to quickly tire out, I still had my wheelchair to depend on. I, unfortunately, couldn’t participate in sports due to my weak legs, but it didn’t prevent me from being in high school band, or student government. I was known for not only being the drummer for the high school band, but also the chair of several can drives.
At Detroit Mercy University, I was known as the engineer who could out-drum everyone. My legs, the more I exercised, kept getting stronger, but I still had to rely on my plant-controlling powers to operate the pedals. My plant-controlling abilities proved useful while doing homework or while working for the local bar first two years. Rachel and I would hang out every weekend we could. I got into an internship program with the local wind turbine manufacturing facility, and was asked many times to travel back to the Thumb, where I would investigate all the wind turbines under construction. Rachel and I ended up graduating on May 1st, 2015. She was hired as the assistant CPA over in Ubly, and I was hired in last minute as one of Ruth’s Alternative Energy Associate Engineers.
The most amazing thing occurred while I was touring one of the biofuel facilities in White Rock to perform inspections due to a new unit being installed. I was cured of my paraplegia thanks to the miracle Jesus performed. Rachel and I eventually got married on June 29th, 2024. I had proposed to her a few weeks after we both graduated. We were wed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. We both planned on living right in Parisville, which by then had become part of an economic hub called the Tri-Villages. We were able to make a down payment on a house, which turned out to be the same house my late parents owned. I was able to restore the house to its former glory, and soon planned on starting a family.

Taking Questions (G)
Hi everyone.
I’m here to take questions you may have about my character or my waking life.
Sorry for the long hiatus. 😐
I’ve been busy at work, bought a house a few years back, and finally made my way back over here. Taking small steps to bringing this site back online.
