So, we haven't posted here much in like, a long time, and I recently realized that like, we didn't have any indication of what happened.

A couple years ago we found out we have DID, and that's been a lot of complications on its own, but part of how we found out was realizing that phaine wasn't in the system anymore. Both tom and phaine did art, but they did it differently, and while I also do art, I kinda never figured out how either of them worked. Like, I can legit look through my gallery and tell which pieces were made by each of us, but I don't really know how they did it?

This has been frustrating. It was like waking up one day and realizing you've lost a finger. Sure, one finger isn't the end of the world, you can learn to adapt around it, but it takes time and feels like you're starting over. This combined with other complications in our life kind of pushed me away from doing art for a long time, which, doesn't make you any better at doing art. The end result is that any art I have made recently hasn't really been something I felt measured up to our previous work, and I just haven't felt it was worth posting about.

About three months ago a new member showed up in my system who has some of phaine's memories. She doesn't draw or paint, but sometimes she asks me to make stuff for her stories. Legitimately last night I was doing something for her and getting frustrated and she told me I was holding the pencil like tom but trying to draw like phaine, and that's why it wasn't working. She was right, and while it doesn't magically bring back all the skill phaine had it does make me draw faster and hurt my hand less. Hell of a thing to realize you literally forgot how to hold a pencil, but brains are weird.

TL;DR: The one who started this account is gone, but I might manage to make some art here and there.
