Life couldn't be better? (G)
While things for me continue to get better gradually, things for my friends are steadily getting worse. My friend/band mate Crystal's grandfather died, her baby sister is deathly sick, and she's going through bad depression. Her mom is a psychopath, and her stepdad is pretty much useless.
My cousin Amber, she's always boasted her fortune, and even went to lengths as to call me a "dirt poor loser" when she had gotten mad at me. Her and her sister Allison always had openly shoved their fortune in my face. Now, they have nothing, Their gorgeous house is going up for sale without their consent. They have to move to the state they hate the most, West Virginia. They'll have no money, no lives. They're so used to being spoiled shitless. How will they manage? Me, I'm coming into money. About $200,000,000 thanks to my mom and her new awesome boyfriend. While their life is going faster than the economy, mine is soaring like the roaring twenties.
People around me, steadily, are getting more depressed and less confident. Me? Nothing in my life could be better. I'm happy. Look, I can actually say.. I'm happy.. without lying.
Is it fair for things to be so good for me, when things have always been the opposite? Is it karma? I mean, I've been a good person most of my life, and my friends.. not so good.. and they've always been better off than me. So is it MY time to shine?
