I'm a Poet, and a Writer. I do a bit of drawing on the side but those are hardly ever furry. My passion is with words, and it is so I decided to bring my poems from Deviantart to here.

A Rant for those that care (G)
I've spent the last probably four hours, looking through forums and trying to find fixes for the Diablo III issues with the Radeon 4500 HD graphics card for a friend. Their is no guaranteed fix, but I started off with the basics, Vsync on, check. Graphics low, check. Latency wasn't too ridiculously high that it should warrent that kind of lag. So I started doing some digging.
First off, Blizz announced that AMD released a hotfix, 12.4a, for the driver software. A lot of people are saying it doesn't work, and it didn't work for the one in question. That link, is stickied to the top of their forum about it. Obviously, because blizz says it, it's right? Right? In dealing with Blizzard, they normally don't get it right the first time. So, back to my digging.
After about two and a half, three hours. I found something interesting. It wasn't just that one person who was having the issue, but the majority of people who did the hotfix didn't work. So, some people tried different things, and their was something that worked for a lot of them.
Rolling back the Drivers to 12.2, which was released in March, and not the 12.4 that came out in May, or the 12.4a that is a hotfix to this, but the 12.2 driver from march seems to work. So, I suggested she rolled back her driver. And I got told that she already did that. That she followed the link that was posted for her driver set.
Now, here is the thing, I did my digging, and it took me some time and reading to find out about the rollback that works for most of the people. So I asked her to try it anyways. And I again got told she already did it, that she followed the link. Funny thing is, in all my digging, I didn't find a link. Instead, I found out what had to be done, and I dug through AMD's previous drivers to link it to her myself. But, she's not willing to try it.
So, I'm done. She's going to guilt me, complaining she's used to not being able to do things that she wants, and used to giving them up, and telling me to go enjoy the game anyways. I'm done with it. I've uninstalled Diablo III from my computer, and am not going to re-install it till either blizz fixes the issue directly, so I don't have to deal with it, or till she finally is willing to listen and humor me. Most likely, Diablo IV will come out first. But either way, I'm done. Now I'm shutting off my computer before I break something.
