Nashii Information (G)
10 years ago
GENERAL NOTES:
· Nashii are genderless but can be referred to as masculine, feminine or neutral creatures.
· Nashii come in three different forms: Paranoia, Fear and Phobia, a Nashuyl may evolve or devolve according to its hauntee’s actions, emotions or experiences. An example would be you had a borderline fear of the ocean as a small child, later in life you started to get over it, only being paranoid of it, then, in a freak accident you nearly drown and you find yourself with a phobia of the ocean and other large bodies of water.
The forms on the refsheet are baseline forms, just to show body shape and size. (Note: the model on the sheet stands at 6 feet.)
· Though Nashii are generally sad and gloomy they may have bouts of happiness, generally these are not correlated with their hauntee’s contact with their fear.
· A Nashuyl will often become very aggressive when near another that is a higher form of the same fear.
· Nashii can and will reveal the fear they house by taking out their hearts. These are vestigial organs as they serve no other purpose other than to classify themselves with.
· Not all Nashii will move up or down in rank.
· A Nashuyl’s Ink (what it is made of) seems to only linger on the ground for a few seconds before vaporizing, making it nearly impossible to track yours or anyone elses Nashii.
PARANOIA NOTES:
· This form of Nashii are rarely seen, mostly felt. As they are the smallest form of Nashii they reside in the corners of their hauntee’s conscience.
· They lack arms and legs, as they rather ride on the shoulders of their hauntee.
· Other than their lack of appendages the defining features of a Paranoia is its rounded snout and small ears.
FEAR NOTES:
· The Fear form of Nashii is the most common. They tend to lurk within close proximity of their hauntee but not close enough to cause a constant damage to them.
· These tend to be more aggressive towards each other, trying to achieve dominance before becoming a Phobia.
· Able to use their hands to affect their hauntee, they tend to try and influence them into worsening their fear by accident, indirect influence or throwing them into the fear head on.
· Fears will often interact with Phobias, or observe from afar, to try and learn from them, some will become envious and end up getting hurt by a Phobias Horror Mode.
PHOBIA NOTES:
· The badest of the bad, Phobia Nashii will creep behind their hauntee as long as they can, often entering a half Horror Mode when their Fear Scape interacts with their hauntee.
~~·Fear Scape is the manifestation of the hauntee’s fear.
· Phobias can be seen teaching more docile Fears how to become Phobias, acting as leaders or better known as pack leaders.
· Some Phobias can be known to teach up to ten Fears how they work, creating formidable Nashii.
HORROR MODE NOTES:
· Run.
· Only Phobias are good at achieving Horror Mode, when they do they cause their hauntee to hallucinate their Fear Scape. Meaning, have a phobia of mirrors? If your Nashuyl reaches Horror Mode expect to be trapped in a never ending maze of mirrors until your Nashuyl tires.
· Horror Mode is incredibly draining and stressful for Nashii.
· If a Fear Nashuyl successfully enters Horror Mode they are put under tons of physical distress, causing them pain.
FIGHTING
· Nashii that share a host will fight- possibly to the death- for dominance.
· Fights can go on from moments to days if the Nashii are equally strong. That is if they are the same rank, a Phobia and a Fear fighting is rare and does not lasts very long. Imagine a Prius against a freight train… Yeah.
· When fighting the Nashii will enter (pseudo)Horror Mode, pulling them into their own form of Fear Scape- a mixture of the two forms they are.
~~· Ex. A Fear of heights and a Fear of water are fighting- their personal Fear Scape would consist of a never ending waterfall.
~~· Ex. A Phobia of confined spaces (claustrophobia) and a Phobia of fire (pyrophobia) are fighting- their personal Fear Scape would consist of a closed in space/a room with walls of fire.
~~· Ex. Two Fears of similar types are fighting - their personal Fear Scape would amplify- forcing them into a higher state of Horror Mode this can cause physical pain and stress to a Phobia and can be fatal to a Fear.
~~~~~· Two Fears of suffocation fight- not only would they have an issue seeing one another (imitating blacking out from lack of air since they don't need to breath) but they would have chains around their neck, causing harm to themselves as well as the other.
· If a Nashuyl dies in a fight with another their Hauntee with earn a reprieve from their Fear/Phobia. The certain Nashuyl will be forced to start over as a Paranoia and work its way back up but they will usually fail in this if they stay with the same host.
· Normally Nashii- knowing that that will happen- surrender to the more dominant and will either move hosts or will work under the more dominant Nashuyl.
COMMUNICATION
· Nashii - if youre lucky (unlucky) enough- seem mute while they interact. To a human/sona they seem to only use their hands and facial expressions to communicate.
· Nashii actually make sounds above the frequency people/sonas can hear. “Paranormal” sights by pets/animals may actually be them hearing Nashii communicate.
· If you could understand them Nashii speak with clicks and screeches almost like dolphins and raptors had a love child of voices. Its very unpleasant to listen to and can cause repeating nightmares. In Horror Mode Nashii can cause temporary or permanent deafness if a hauntee is exposed.
