Natuliites are an all female subspecies containing that of feline, canine, goat and rabbit, subject to crystal or mineral defect growth.
Crystal or mineral form most notably on their head, tail and claws.
Natuliite once hitting adulthood may have growth developing just below their elbows and formations on their hips.
Most that do produce crystal on their hips and elbows end up breaking it off, using it as a form of jewellery or gifting someone special.
Males are only a carrier of the defect and don't have any growth.
While Natuliites have vivid eyes with colors more commonly being violet, red, or yellow.
Blues, purples and greens can be found throughout the species, though uncommon.
Their sclera is black, not white.
Natuliites are a cave dwelling species. Whilst their crystals don't produce any light on their body, once cut off and placed into the cavern walls it will give off a glow, illuminating the maze of tunnels leading back to their sanctuary.
If cliffs or any form of high rock side can not be found, it is not uncommon for Natuliites to live in trees.
A group of Natuliite's are called a cluster. A cluster can range upward of ten Natuliites.
Their diets are made up of berries, roots and seeds. Occasional, but not uncommon to hunt for meat.
When it comes to picking a partner, Natuliites are fussy trying to only pick the best genes for their family.
Families may consist of anywhere between 1 to 3 males between one female.
Most males tend to spend their time outside of the main cluster with adolescents that have not shown the growth defect and help with the activies.
In most cases adolescent with no crystal growth tend to move on from the cluster, but are a carrier (male & female) of the defect and can pass it on onto their own offspring when old enough to mate.
Defect gene only effects those that are feline, rabbit, goat and canine.
Ultimately often returning back to the cluster to get help raising their offspring.
Shaman, typically enters into a trance state during a ritual, and practices divination and healing.
Foragers, the main source for food. Keeping the cluster storage full all year round.
Which includes weaving baskets and netting and spear heads.
Hollow, excavating tunnels through solid rock, creating a maze and their sanctuary.
They also help keep lookout from invading species.
Protectors, they will fight only if necessary keeping the cluster safe from outsiders.
Usually disguised as Hollows or Foragers.
Carers, take care of the seedlings up until their adolescents when their crystal start to form.
