You hear the faint beep of a reciever laying on the ground in front of you.

Curious, you pick up the reciever and look it over. It has a crude 'homemade' feel to it. Small scraps of tape cover parts of the chewed-looking assembly to hold it together. The intermittent beep reminds you to look at its GPS-like screen.

An embossed label is sloppily stuck on the reciever, crudely overlapping part of the display: "MUKILTEO"

What is that? A name?

With each faint beep, an orange dot illuminates on the same far-off looking edge of the scratched up screen. A knob is broken off on the reciever, who knows what that used to do.

The weak beep and faint orange dot aren't moving, or if its really a GPS-like device whatever it is tracking seems very far away still.

Setting the unit back down where you found it, maybe you will consider checking the device later.
