I just draw what the flying green hamsters tell me to draw.

Mr. Son does Pokémon Firered archive (G)
This is the archive for my ongoing modified Nuzlocke run of Pokémon Firered.
--- --- ---
Progress on strip #10:
..... Sketch: First draft done.
..... Linework: Not started.
..... Text: Not started.
..... Backgrounds: Not started.
..... Color: Not started.
Status:
20130531 - I'm not abandoning this, I'm just very slow. Keep watching this space for future status updates.
--- --- ---
Rules:
1. If a pokémon faints, it's dead. Its corpse is shoved into the PC for posterity, and I can no longer use it.
2. Can catch only one (1!) pokémon per route/cave system/ruined building/etc. Unlike a standard Nuzlocke run, I can choose which Pokémon to capture, and don't have to take the first to present itself.
..... Exceptions:
......... Pokémon such as Eevee and Lapras which are acquired through in-game events, instead of catching in the wild.
......... Legendaries (can be caught, but not used in battle).
......... Shinies.
......... If I need an HM move to progress in the game and am completely out of Pokémon that can learn it, I can catch something that can.
3. In-game trades are acceptable. Player to player trades are not.
That's basically everything. If anything needs to be added or clarified in the future, I'll update this list.

Questions for readers:
Q1. I'm thinking of moving my archive for this comic to Livejournal. This journal will stay up for the status updates and to list the rules. Is this a major inconvenience to anyone?
This question is open until strip 10 is posted.
Q2. Given the difficulties of catching a Pokémon within the safari zone (due to the inability to weaken them, and the greatly increased chance of them running away) I would like to modify the rules on catching 'mons slightly for the purposes of the Safari zone. I can see two main options here. One, "Guaranteed Catch": If the 'mon runs, keep trying until one of them stays in the bloody ball. That's your Safari zone Pokémon. Two, "Oh Hey, Multiple Areas": Count each section of the Safari zone as a separate area. If a 'mon runs, it's gone, but you can try again in the next bit. This is the option that's more of a gamble, giving me a chance of many new 'mons, or none at all. I'm leaning towards option one, for a single guaranteed Pokémon. Thoughts?
This question is open for a currently undefined length of time.
