Hi!
I don't quite know how and why you've stumbled onto my backwater page of mine, but you're here.
And since you're here, Imma gonna let you take a seat and I'm going to go ahead and describe myself. I'm sure you'd looove to hear.
So I live in El Paso, Texas, and working my way through high school. I've first realized I am a furry about five years ago, when I stumbled upon Wolf-nymph's page while browsing DeviantArt (I'll link the exact image later). I am kind of an avid camper, and I have went on several backpacking and canoeing trips in Boy Scouts. For me, having this character is sort of an exploration of myself, finding what I am and what I am not.
I'm not particularly active, but there might be the occasional sketch going up. I have these sketchbooks and I intend to use them dammit.
Sidka is a rather sublime, mellow guy, son of Asian immigrants. Rather okay in his normal life, but a really avid outdootrsman, a thing the Pacific Northwest instills in you. He often goes out with a friend or two, bringing nothing to the woods but what they carry. Its a lesson of self reliance, really. Sidka seems like a name that would complement an outdoorsy person, obvious references to Alaska and corruption of the Ladakhi word for Dhole notwithstanding.
As for physical stuff, he stands around 5'10'', lithe like most of the 'cat-like' canids are. Coat is rusty with the typical black tail. He is quite fond of light green and cargo khakis, and when its cold, throws on gray weatherproof jacket. No obvious hair officially, but dark brown might be considered. Hazel eyes. Even as an outdoorsy type, he shies away from guns, though he did make the most impulsive purchase of a $60 Mosin for, strictly, "collector's purposes". In its stead, he relies on a large kukri to do his trailblazing work.
Sid is a doppelganger of me, who I would've been if I took a different path. What if I moved back to San Francisco? What would I do with the ability to abandon everything to travel? At the same time, this helps me set my goals and the roadmap to the future, what I want to be. I chose the Dhole for its social nature, amazing fur color and has a sort of 'cultural' heritage to it, as I am Asian and so is he.
Occasionally, I might put up a sketch, but given my cramped schedule, don't expect too much. I also write occasionally.
