You give yourself whole and complete without reservation.
You study and talk and share until you have become a more perfect lover than anyone could ever hope for.
You step aside, without any sense of self-preservation, in the name of stability and convenience.
You remain faithful, loyal, and ever watchful. Ensuring the completeness of life and happiness for them.
You spend all your time and energy, bending and twisting time and space to heal, protect, and comfort those whom you love more than your next breath.
But, to what end.
In the end, you are the expendable party, and your deeds of selflessness and love will not go unpunished, as those in influence will rend you asunder from their ivory towers.
You will be made the evil one.
And you will be broken.
And you will be beaten.
Yet, you find the strength to continue.
To love.
To give.
To do that which none other would do.

But to what end?
