Heya there~

Just wanna do another lil check-in. More updates on:
- the state of my projects & what I plan to work on
- what I’m thinking of working on
- any other updates
- and let any of you all ask open-ended questions you’d like me to answer.


— Projects & Plans —
Making the new pages for Pushing my Buttons has felt really good, and I’m happy to see others enjoy the new comic. I know it’s not going to be as flashy or attention-grabbing as my explicit content, but I like making something personal and different from the usual - it keeps things fresh. I haven’t made new pages in a while, but I will once I get a little free time soon.

So far, I’ve finished about 13 commissions from my queue. I price my commissions based on how long they take me to make, and I want to make sure I’m reaching my target price-per-hour (mine is about $50/hour), so I recorded the time it took me to finish the last 13 commissions and found that I tend to take longer than expected, so I definitely need to increase my price for next time. I’m looking at going from $50-75 per character to probably something like $70-95 to meet my ideal rate. There are also little factors that make some comms take longer than expected, like if the camera angle or the pose is tricky, so I plan to adjust price based on that too for next time. I’m getting close to halfway done with my queue!


— Ideas —
I started writing bios for my parent characters (Snowball, Lady, and Bo), and I’m halfway done sketching Bo’s new ref sheet. I’ve made Bo into a more interesting character after a bit of brainstorming. I hope to do the same for Lady and Snowball when I work on their ref sheets.

Mother’s Day is coming up. I would stream for the occasion, but I’m not at my normal work station, so streaming would be pretty awkward for me. I’ll probably still make some mommy stuff. Might make a blend of general and explicit things to spice it up~


— General Updates —
I’m in the US now, visiting my family and friends, and also to pick up more of my stuff (mostly clothes and mementos). All I have with me for work is my phone and ipad. I have the keyboard case for my ipad, so I can use it like a laptop when I do things like write this journal, reply to messages, and post my work. It’s not as convenient as my full work station, but it works good enough, and a part of me also likes having a compact setup where I don’t need much to do my work. Although, I do miss having Postybirb to make posting all my art easier; I can’t use that program on my ipad (to my knowledge), so I have to post it all manually. I’ll have to plan a day to post my backlog of new art soon.

My Colombian visa application got approved… right after I left the country! So as soon as I get back, I have to go to the administrative office and finish the application process. I’m excited to finally be able to live somewhere else more permanently~

I finally got to Depth 5 in Nightreign. I was mostly playing Ironeye and Raider before, but I gave up when those weren’t working and I tried something new. Turns out, I am a very good Guardian player. Guardian is the tank and medic for the team. I never see other people play them, and I think it’s because everyone just wants to be doing huge damage, but Guardian doesn’t really do much damage. We started winning games suddenly, and I think it’s because me tanking for the team lets others do the big damage they want without dealing with the boss’ aggression. And then if everyone else goes down, I bring out the ultimate move, reviving everyone, healing them, and we are so back. It’s really fun!
