Kinda don’t know if I should even be sticking around here. I mean, like, I feel much safer on deviantart than here for a very big reason.

The blacklist option.

Now, I’m sensitive to fetish art, nsfw, and other lewdness. On deviantart, there’s an option to add tags that you do NOT want to see. On here, there’s none. While I know both websites have their share of things I don’t wanna see, deviantart’s blacklist greatly reduces or completely eliminates art I don’t wanna see. I know FA has a function that can exclude tags by typing a “-“ sign in front, but that doesn’t help with the front page displaying things I don’t wanna see.

Something related is that when you block someone on deviantart, you can NOT see their art. I often use blocking as a way to prevent myself from seeing unwanted art. Yet here, if you block someone, their art STILL shows up. I know I talked about this in a previous journal, but it’s still relevant. So uhhh yeah. I doubt anyone will miss me if I do decide to shut down my account, because the front page is one of the only ways anyone’s actually gonna see your art without looking it up. (Also another reason I prefer deviantart.) Now I don’t intend to insult the webs and talk crap about their site. I’m just voicing reasons I may not stay.

If you might ACTUALLY miss me, my deviantart is idiot island.

BUT…

I describe my page as a “safe zone.” Somewhere that you won’t find a single picture with lewdness, NSFW content, or fetishes. For the probably very few people who are like me and don’t like seeing any of the mentioned things in art here. If I were to disable my account, the probably already low number of places like my page will drop.
