Rest in peace, Dragoneer... I will never forgive this dumpster-fire of a healthcare system we have in the United States for leaving you to die like this...

Honestly, I was hoping at some point for us to get some art together, or at least get your permission to comm some art featuring our characters. Now I'll never know if you'd be okay with the pic idea I had in mind... (If my idea was tame, I'd just go ahead and get it, but I was wanting something kinky... I'm sure knowing me, you can hazard a guess what my idea was, heh heh.)

This whole situation has made me think of my own sonas, however... What'll happen to them if I were to pass away suddenly?

So I've made the decision to have it in writing what I would like to do to them all:

After I shed this mortal coil, I will be giving the community carte blanche to use my sonas as they see fit. If any artist requires my explicit written permission, you may send them a link back here to assure them that I hereby grant that permission postmortem.

Once I am confirmed dead, you will have my full permission to use all of my characters in any form of picture, story, video, or other artistic production, including paid or commercial works.

In addition, my characters may participate in any NSFW content and can be subjected to any kink or fetish, including those not held by my living self. You may also use my characters for roleplay and make derivative characters, so long as you provide credit.

There will only be three stipulations:

1. My characters are not to be used as mouthpieces for any political opinions except my own (e.g. they are not allowed to endorse any form of hatred).

2. My characters are not allowed to participate in or endorse unambiguous pedophilia or zoophilia.

3. My characters should still be credited as being my creations. (A good template to follow would be "_____ is owned by the late Markus_McCloud and was used with his posthumous permission.")

As of this writing, I am still alive and well and hopefully will be for decades to come, but one day, I will have to cross the rainbow bridge. Wherever death takes me, I would not be needing my characters any longer. I don’t want my fursonas to be entombed with me; I want them to be cherished by the furry community for years to come, even after I cease to be.

I do hope this doesn't come off as tasteless; his passing just shook me, that's all... Once again, rest in peace, Dragoneer... You will not be forgotten.
