We just felt the initial shockwave and the aftershocks of an earthquake that was leveled 5.2 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter was in south Indiana in Evansville. Things like this don't happen in Indiana too often; I'm sure all the newspapers in every county of Indiana will be covering the earthquake all the way down south in Evansville over the next week.

The cats were freaked out. Zoe was creeping around like something was out there stalking her and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Stormy was just being herself; annoying and stupid.

Unfortunately, I was in bed half asleep when the initial wave shook my bed and woke me up. (It was 10 minutes before Mom would have come in to wake me up anyway; kudos to mother nature). At first, I thought it was Zoe pawing at my bed, but considering how puny she is, the only thing I would have noticed was the sounds her paws make against the sheets.

Zoe wasn't even in my room to begin with. Then I thought it was ghosts. My room was haunted by playful spirits that shook my bed. Wrong again. Silly me.

What an interesting way to start a Friday.
