The trip was a success! I’m not sure I’ve ever managed to successfully travel so far before. 10186 km and no one died. I’m quite proud. Normally my road trips are very…interesting. This time, it was interesting without anything unexpected happening. I bet my next road trip in Australia won’t be quite this successful.

I’m still excited for it though.

We drove the entire way along the Great Dividing Range. There was lots of mountain driving today. In fact, it was nothing but mountains. The range ended as we came down into Melbourne. That’s two states worth of driving in the mountains. I loved every moment of it.

The pack decided they wanted to watch a movie at the drive in when we got back into town, so we went there before going all the way home. I was dragged to see Hot Tub Time Machine.

Thank god we still had some supplies from Nimbin.

At least I didn’t care it wasn’t such a good movie. I might have been too tired to care anyway. I did laugh though, so it wasn’t horrible.

I’m kinda sad the drive is over. Had we rushed it a few more days, I probably would have made my flight. I’m glad we didn’t. I like it here.
