On the brighter side of things... (G)
Although im stuck with a job that pays bad, and practically gives me nothing while the government takes 20% of my paycheck there are good things happening. Atleast I have a job right now, they are incredibly hard to find right now since they have like 100 applicants, it is kind hard to compete with.
Also, searching for jobs online is a really BAD idea. Giving away your personal information so scam artists can find you, such as those employment agencies promising to find you a job. I fell for one of those once, I actually thought they had a decent job for me. I drove like 30 miles down for an appointment. When I got there, I realized it was one of those employment offices where you have to pay them to look for you. The Receptionist asked me to pay them 90 US dollers before the appointment. I said to her "You guys called me down here, I didn't call you. Also, I think what your doing here is pure exploitation of other peoples misfortunes. This office is nothing but a scam, and your just taking money from people and going to do nothing they can't do themselves. " After this little speech, I walked out of the office. The cool thing was though, a few others waiting there got angry when I brought this to their attention and walked out with me.
Anyway, Online job searchs are mostly Fraud. Monster.com, career builder, and all those other places are just trying to market you, they don't give a shit if you get a job or not. These people are vultures, preying on what little money you have left for false hope, they make me sick.
On the brighter side of things, atleast I still have that crappy job. I might as well buckle in and ride it out until things get better. Oh, and I also lost like 50 lbs within the last six months, I feel a whole lot better and maybe I can get my highschool physique back by the end of this year. :3
