Well, it's been about a week since the pets and I made it home. We were all collectively burnt out and incredibly happy to be home. I could see how stressed out Frisbee was, especially. My little, old man is beyond his years of traveling. He and I were separated for about 4 weeks, which I know didn't help his anxiety. As soon as we got home, I was relieved to see all of his stress almost immediately melt away. Mellow is definitely more comfortable, too. But, since she was with me the entire time we were away, she wasn't as upset. She really missed sunbathing, though, as we spent the entire time that we were away in the basement.

Even though I'm relieved to be home, I am happy that I was able to help out. My nephew is doing great! At first, the medication he was on made him gain a lot of weight incredibly fast! But, by the time I left, he was taken off the initial medicine and was very nearly back to his regular size. He has plenty of energy and is in good spirits and good health. It was nice being able to spend so much time with him, my sister, and her family. I'm sure I'll be back up there soon enough. But, hopefully not too soon. It's still going to be a long road of recovery for him, but he's on the right track.

As for me and the pets, we took last week off. I had 2 doctor's appointments, but other than that, we just stayed home and got caught up on rest. I told my nephew (the one that lives near me) that I was on vacation. He wanted to know how I could take a vacation without leaving the house. I tried to explain, but I don't think he got it ^_^. At any rate, I feel a lot better, now. Tomorrow I have another appointment, but Wednesday is the day that they're going to reveal the baby elephant that was born at the National Zoo! So, I'm going to trek out there and have a look at her. The weather is supposed to be quite nice, so that's a plus. Maybe I can work outside for a while. I guess we'll see.
