When thowes dissolve the snawy hoord
An' float the jinglin icy boord
Then, water-kelpies haunt the foord
By your direction
An' nighted trav'llers are allur'd
To their destruction.
(Robert Burns 1786)
Sair back and sair banes,
Drivin' the Laird o'Morphie's stanes.
The Laird o'Morphie'll never thrive,
as lang's the Kelpie's still alive.
(Morphie's curse)
welcome to my little spot on fa's dark river banks.
I am Keltney, a water kelpie.
A scottish horse demon known for luring children to the depths and devouring them leaving only their entrails on the banks of whichever body of water we may inhabit
at least thats one version of the myth. As with all folklore the stories are varied and theres no one true version, i simply chose the version i grew up with.
I am scottish. I did grow up with stories of the kelpie and it just captures my imagination.
please be warned that I am a gore artist and plan on showing the dark bloody side if the kelpie myth, if you do not like this then please move on! Recent Watchers
