I know Bloober time is doing this, and they did a good job of doing the SH2 remake, but Konami sometimes cannot help themselves. I still get pissed how they said that 'you dont need a remake of OG silent hill, we did that already with Silent Hill: Shattered Memories'. What? That game was different but it was not, in my opinion, a proper remake or even a proper Silent Hill game, but I wont go into that rant right now.

My point is, I'm REALLY anticipating this game, as I've been asking for a remake of Silent Hill, or even just a graphical upgrade to the level of PS2 graphics in the style of Silent Hill 2 through 4, since the first game was on the original Playstation and the graphics were crunchy as hell on that older console, and also everyone seems to forget that it even exists (most people I know who have played or seen playthroughs of Silent Hill 2 and onward have never seen, much less played, the original, or just outright refuse to because they cannot stand the primitive graphics). I've been asking for a remake since SH2 came out, and that was over 20 years ago! But at the same time I'm also REALLY worried, because Konami, despite putting a big push on Silent Hill again after years of treating it like a thing in the basement they would rather ignore, has had a history of fucking things up with Silent Hill. PT, which could have been the best (or worst, we will never know) Silent Hill game, was canceled outright, even though the trailer was so good and popular that it has influenced an entire generation of survival horror games despite only being a fucking teaser! I often feel that the SH2 remake was good not because of Konami, but despite them. There are a million and one ways this can go sideways and so far we only know that its something they are working on, no details or screenshots or anything as of yet.

So lets all pray to our various Gods that this turns out good.
