It started with a thud, distant at first, followed by the panic of animals, breaking the mid day quiet of the human village. Nestled deep within a forest of ancient and massive trees the village had been hidden and the humans gifted generations of piece. Enough to have developed a little technology. Primative water wheels, smelting and crafting metals for trade. Impressive for this world. Human societies rarely lasted long enough to develop either technology or culture. The thuds were getting louder, and as they got closer the ground was beginning to quake. People were looking at eachother, not knowing what to think. The trees surrounding their little society blocked their view of anything that may be approaching, and they hadn't had the experience, nor the foresight to develop any sort of contingency plan for something like this. The weight of the thuds now shook the town, things falling off shelves. Glass shattered in the glass making shop. Animals pannicked and people ran outside as they feared the buildings they were inside of crumbling. Before long a massive figure appeared over the trees.
