I'll be using this account to collect, commission and show off all my Jaina Shay pictures and stories. All journal entries will be told in the voice of my lovely little Shaymin, a young pokemorph with her whole life ahead of her. Some entries may pertain to on-going role-plays between her and my friends. These will be labelled as such.
Scraps are used for mature and adult art of Jaina.

OOC: Thinking about giving Jaina a small revamp. (G)
13 years agoMostly looking for opinions here. I've been thinking of giving Jaina's overall design just enough of a revamp that she won't be considered a pokemorph, but at the same time, I just love how she looks now. The reason behind this is that I am noticing more and more artists are refusing to do 'fandom' characters. Now, I was into pokemon some years ago, but that's not why I based Jaina off of Shaymin. I did it because the pokemon was extremely cute, small and light coloured. Originally, I was just making a character to role-play every once in a while, but then suddenly, she took off and became more then just something to mess around on once in a blue moon.
She became my main character.
Jaina is a shaymin, but I also refer to her as a hedgehog. I love her colours. Although, I was thinking of adding a unique marking to her. Like maybe I'll start pulling her hair back so you can actually see her small ears and maybe put some colour on those. At the same time, I adore how simple her design is. The most complex thing on her is either her clothing or the one flower in her hair.
Hrm. So any ideas? Or should I just keep her as is and say 'psh' to those who want to hate on the little shaymin?
Another thing! I was thinking of giving her some new outfits. In the beginning, she liked shorts and t-shirts. Now I'm thinking of giving her jeans (especially in a zombie setting where jeans could save your life from a surprise bite - sometimes) and turning her swat vest into a sleeveless hoody thing.
Are there other outfits I should think of? Keep in mind that she's mostly used in survival horror role-plays. What she wears at certain points are things that can be easily found or made by the group. So there won't be much along the lines of punk, goth or anything else. Unless it was in her size. Even then, she prefers items that preform a function rather then fashion.

Another thought... I need to think of clothing colours that will go with her white/green palette. Think I'm getting a little bit exhausted by all the green she wears these days and I don't want to abuse blue. xD
