newgen FA nerd who does music | Registered: March 11, 2023 04:29:58 PM
1̶7̶ 15 year old producer from H̶o̶u̶s̶t̶o̶n̶ Atlanta!
I make music (very badly) for fun on my totally real and not fake MPC 3000 that looks suspiciously similar to GarageBand on an iPhone. Attempting to create music is my primary hobby, and I upload them here as there is no way anybody would listen to my catastrophic creations anywhere else. I am a semi-avid reader, but not the best at writing. Also, I’m a car nerd who sometimes browses for random pictures of cars to comment on in my spare time.
Speaking of pictures, the vast majority of my thumbnails are just random images that I thought were funny. Think of it as a view into my unrefined and perplexingly unorthodox sense of humor.
Quantity > Quality
In terms of using (or sampling) beats that I make, please feel free to do so! Everything I upload is intended to be royalty free. All I ask for is that you give me credit by using and also give credit to any collaborators involved on that song (if they are credited via their FA handles, this isn’t necessary for mainstream artists that aren’t likely to care anyway).
If I use something from your song, and you want me to take it down for any reason, please just comment or message me to let me know. I will respond and remove it as soon as I can.
I refrain from leaving “Thanks for the watch/fave!” shouts to avoid being annoying, but if you watch me, I will watch you back if I can. I don’t mind people leaving such shouts on my page, I just prefer not to do it myself; you never know who may be on the other end hiding behind a screen name.

i have a confession to make... (G)
So, basically, I stole beats (and entire songs in some cases) from other people.
Not quite the way you might think, as this was awhile ago, but still. I uploaded music that I did not create myself.
Now, when I first created this account, I WAS making music, but it was terrible. I didn't want to upload it because I was ashamed of it. So, the reasonable solution in my 14 y/o brain was to take songs that I liked and already had on my laptop and upload them to this site (I was smart enough to make sure that they were underground and relatively unknown - or royalty free - songs that wouldn't be recognized).
Yes, I was fully aware that this was morally wrong (and a breach of copyright) and just didn't care enough to not do it.
I know some people might think "Well, yeah. People do that all the time on here!" This is true, but I did not give credit to the original artists (for most of them). That is theft.
Later on, when I started to feel bad about essentially stealing other people's music, I deleted some of them and started uploading a mixture of songs that I had actually made, and AI music. At the time, I wasn't aware that AI music was against the rules (because I hadn't bothered to read them) and when FA staff deleted one of my more obviously AI posts (which was actually more of a mashup than anything else - it was Joe Biden rapping over The World Is Yours by Nas lmao) I got the message and gradually stopped posting AI content. I say gradually because it took me couple of months to stop completely.
The reason I ultimately stopped doing both wasn't because of FA staff getting involved, at least not entirely. To put it simply, people started noticing what I was posting. They began to favorite them, comment on them, and watch my account. This began to wear me down, because even though for some reason I didn't have an issue with taking people's music and uploading it as my own, I did feel bad about responding to comments of people saying how much they liked it when I hadn't even made it myself. That was ultimately enough for me to make the decision to stop, although it took far longer than it should have.
Here's a breakdown of the legitimacy of what I've made, for the TL:DR.
From mid-2023 to early 2024, nearly everything I uploaded was fraudulent (either AI, or stolen from another artist).
From Mid-2024 to early 2025, there was a mixture of music that I had actually made (usually with loops, which isn't that much better, but at least it wasn't stolen), and AI beats, but only one or two songs that were entirely the intellectual property of another person.
Early-ish 2025 is when I fully stopped uploading AI content, and started to teach myself how to use GarageBand to make music that wasn't horrible. The last fully AI track was uploaded sometime in early January of that year.
By the summer of 2025, I had (mostly) learned how to use Garageband. This was when my legitimate works started to gain traction - and when most of the people reading this probably discovered me. This was also when I finally stopped using loops and began to make beats from scratch.
Despite the fact that I stopped uploading unscrupulously awhile ago, I hadn't removed the majority of the offending posts. I came to this realization yesterday while creating a beat that would have had a similar title to one of the AI beats I uploaded in 2024, and ultimately came to the decision to delete every upload that I had not explicitly created, or at least edited in some significant manner. I did so this morning, and deleted about 90-something of my total uploads.
I don't blame anyone for choosing to unwatch me after reading this. That is the reason why I chose to make this post. Part of me wanted to just quietly delete everything and hope that nobody would notice, but I felt that I owed an apology to everyone that I lied to by omission during that period, as well as anyone who found my music after that era who didn't know that I was once a fraud, even if they never looked back at my older posts.
I might get suspended or banned for this, but I hope not.
Edit: I’d just like to make two things clear.
1: Every song that is still public is my creation/collaboration effort (not including samples obviously, and certain exceptions in scraps were already credited to the original owners at the time that I uploaded them anyway). I did two separate once-overs to make sure I did not overlook any outliers.
2: I’m generally against the use of AI to make content, and have been for awhile mow. Not to sound like literally every apology post ever, but I have changed since then. I’m significantly more educated, especially on AI and what it is doing to our society. Back then, AI-generation seemed like a relatively new and entertaining concept to me, as I didn’t even know it could be used for music until a few months after I made a FA account. I essentially don’t use AI for anything outside of looking up information now, and I haven’t used it to actually make something (posted here or otherwise) in a very long time.
The one exception was when I made the unwise decision to give an AI model a picture of my face to photoshop a different hairstyle onto it, but that is separate.
