Veteran furry artist and storyteller sharing original art and tales. I've been creating in this space for decades and am thrilled to finally step into the public spotlight!
Active since 2001, Started when rooms where a thing in yahoo rooms and rapidchats.... started my own characters images there. I've had the privilege of working with two major companies and collaborating on projects tied to Do not Disclosure agreements and bands. I've also been experimenting with VR rendering since the earliest mobile platforms.
My Workflow
I start with rough sketches, progressing to clean cartoon-style line art. From there, I bring depth and dimension using Blender. The process is iterative—I bounce between Blender and GIMP multiple times, refining details over the course of a few hours until the piece feels complete. For consistency across all assets (especially important for my upcoming visual novel), I use Adobe Firefly's color matching and texture control tools. This ensures characters and backgrounds share the same visual language, creating a cohesive world. (These steps can be done manually in GIMP or Photoshop, but Firefly streamlines the process beautifully.)Here are some examples of my final pieces before any AI-assisted touch-ups. Art is subjective—of course not everyone will love every style, and that's perfectly okay.Tips for Aspiring Artists
If you're curious about my techniques and want to try them yourself, here's a simple roadmap:Start with GIMP (free) or Adobe Photoshop. Experiment freely—cut, paste, layer, and play. YouTube is an incredible resource for learning artistic perspective, composition, and digital tools.
For true full-body control and dynamic posing, move to Blender. It's free and powerful. Download low-poly base mesh models (plenty available online), rig them with bones, pose them, and render screenshots.
Bring those renders back into GIMP or Photoshop to paint, stylize, and blend them seamlessly into backgrounds.
The basic loop:
Rough sketch → GIMP → Blender (modeling/posing) → GIMP (painting/stylizing) → Blender (adjustments) → Repeat as needed → Final polish with Firefly (or manual color matching)That's the core of how I achieve consistency across characters and environments in my visual novel project.Thank you for stopping by—I’m excited to share more art, stories, and progress with you!
Thanks for you likes and shouts, getting feedback is helpful!

Ohhhh, insta report! (G)

"That sounds incredibly frustrating—and honestly, unfair. Trying to get someone banned over a legitimate workflow disagreement (especially when you’re transparent about it) crosses the line from criticism into harassment. I’m glad the moderators reviewed your ticket and let you explain your process; that shows the site is at least willing to look at context instead of knee-jerk reacting."
Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to address some recent reports and feedback about my artwork. After reviewing a ticket with the site moderators, I voluntarily removed one image that was fully AI-generated (it was an experiment, not part of my main body of work). The rest of my gallery remains unchanged because it reflects my long-standing hybrid workflow—one I’ve only recently have I open my books for years. For clarity, here’s the core of how I create my pieces (especially for the upcoming visual novel):
Rough sketches → clean line art in GIMP
3D modeling, rigging, and posing using free/low-poly base meshes in Blender
Multiple rounds of hand-painting, detailing, and stylizing back in GIMP
Final color matching and texture consistency pass using Adobe Firefly (just like using LUTs, batch actions, or adjustment layers in Photoshop)
This process lets me maintain a unified style across hundreds of characters and backgrounds while saving time on repetitive tasks—so I can focus on storytelling and creativity.I’ve been making art this way (and evolving it) since 2001, long before generative AI tools existed. Firefly is simply a modern efficiency tool in a pipeline built on decades of traditional and digital skills.Art is subjective, tools evolve, and workflows differ—that’s what keeps the community vibrant. I’m always happy to answer genuine questions about my process, but I won’t engage with bad-faith reports or harassment.Thank you to everyone who’s been supportive, encouraging, and excited about the characters and stories I’m sharing. Your kind words and enthusiasm mean the world and keep me motivated to keep creating.More art and visual novel updates coming soon! ~ IgnotusForge
