So, I want to start off this journal by saying that 2025 was not a good year for me. Long story short, tons of personal drama and extenuating circumstances prevented me from really setting my sights on writing. I even took a break from TF work itself towards the middle of the year, which should explain my meager output in general. While I generally don't have a ton of free time right now given I'm finishing up my degree, I figure that a new year should signal a new opportunity for me. I won't make any promises like I made in the last time I made one of these, but my main priority for 2026 would be making my work more consistent. I ideally would want to get about 100-1000 words out per day towards a project, and maybe work my way up from there. I tend to be very hot and cold with when I actually write, so making it a habit would definitely work well in both my and all of your favor.

I do have some plans, like maybe opening commissions again in some form, but as for my regular stories, I want to focus on two major tentpoles: shorter and longer TF stories. If you've seen the Kingston or Fabel TFs I've posted semi-recently, I would want to make stories on that scale more common on here, as I really like when I get to flex my muscles and make my stuff more story-rich. I don't want to lose sight of any TF as a whole, but I would also want to dedicate more effort into developing characters and even thematic elements in my stuff. For those who would want more TF-focused and bite-sized affairs, the TF shorts I also started will be right up your alley. I want to make them to sort of tide people over in between longer works, so I can have some semblance in consistency in my uploads.

Once again, I won't promise anything, but my realistic goal here would be to get at least something out every month of the year (maybe even every week if the TF shorts go off well). I'll also try to keep people updated with journals more often, if only as a barometer of my progress. It's been a long and hard year for everyone, I'm sure, but here's to a great 2026 for all of us!
