I'm feeling unmotivated (G)
I don't usually post about how I'm doing on a daily basis, but this will be an exception.
I'm not doing very well mentally; however, my parents gave me mood medication. Besides that, I don't have a job, which is causing me a lot of stress. Five years ago, I thought that selling or doing commissions of my drawings was a good way to earn some money. The problem is, I love NSFW and I enjoy drawing it. Since everything has to be SFW, and because it has to be done very well, I ended up turning my drawing hobby into a job, and that ended up depressing me a lot.
What does NSFW have to do with all this? Well, several sites prohibit the sale or commission of those drawing styles, and looking for a specific site, apart from the fact of doing it too well, frustrates me, bores me, and therefore ends up disappointed.
The truth is, I don't want to do commissions anymore. I have this stubborn urge to do it many times, but it always ends up causing me problems. It's time to say enough is enough. I really don't want to sell drawings or do commissions anymore. In fact, one of my ideas, admittedly a bit risky, was to use or lend my drawings and characters to all of you if you're interested, as long as it's not for commercial use, please. I'll have news about this soon.
Now, another factor: yesterday I was very disappointed with two Pokémon drawings I posted. The "Braixen's Tea Party" is, for me, the most stressful drawing I've ever had to do, and ironically, that drawing has already become very popular. Another one I finished completely but decided not to post is one of Greninja as a baker, which turned out to be a fiasco. I wanted to experiment with Greninja's design, like a drawing without its tongue, as I did with Serperior yesterday, which was, in my opinion, the best drawing I did that day.
Yesterday's Greninja drawing was awful, truly the worst drawing I've ever done, ironically after a Braixen drawing I posted on Fur Affinity years ago.
My intention is to explore different character designs. I tried it with Greninja and Braixen, but they didn't work out.
I also tried to eliminate Delphox from my drawings, but I kept it because at least its design is somewhat accessible to me. The biggest problem I had with Delphox was its arms because I don't know what they look like without its tunic. At first, I wanted to make it stick-like like its pre-evolution, Braixen, but it looked awful. At least I had a solution for Delphox's arms, apart from the fact that even though her body resembled a tunic, there was no problem with her internal body. It doesn't have that fake skirt around its waist, which is why I ended up getting tired of Braixen. If Braixen could at least have decent arms, or at least arms that are creatively hidden like Delphox's, there wouldn't be a problem.
I want to have fun drawing, and I want to have fun posting, but frankly, neither Greninja nor Braixen met this expectation. I decided to discard them since their designs are beyond saving, in my opinion.
They won't be deleted, I'll post about them in a rare or special way like Blaziken, but I don't want to draw them frequently again.
Especially Braixen. At least I like the designs of Greninja and Blaziken, but never Braixen.
Thanks for reading, and sorry for the long, unpublished text, but I needed to vent.
