Artist reviews (G)
Here I will be providing brief reviews of certain artists I have worked with on two or more occasions, who stood out to me — either positively or negatively.
Evaluation Criteria: Price and Professionalism

TL;DR:
Paid July 2025 via PayPal Friends & Family → extremely slow updates and had to constantly follow up → found out other client/s (2026) were getting work done in ~3 weeks while mine was still incomplete ~8 months → final art had errors → fixes required more chasing and are still incomplete → stopped caring and requested a partial refund (honoured), but still lost money due to paying two transaction fees
I only had one commission done with this artist, and unfortunately it was a poor experience, so I felt the need to leave a review.
I paid for the commission on July 14, 2025 (friends and family). I received a sketch on August 7, then asked for an update on September 19 and didn’t get a response until October 17, when I was sent the lineart. After that, there was no communication for months.
I followed up again on February 22, 2026, and then multiple times on March 11, 12, and 27. The artist only responded on March 27 after I pointed out it had been about 8 months.
Before that, on March 21, I contacted another commissioner on Discord after seeing they had received two new OCs from the same artist. They told me their commission was completed in about 3 weeks. This made it clear that the artist was continuing to take and complete new commissions while leaving mine unfinished.
The “completed” artwork was finally delivered on March 27. After reviewing it on my PC a couple of days later, I noticed discrepancies—such as inconsistent fishnet strap sizes and different shades of fishnets between the clothed versions. The artist acknowledged these issues but only fixed them on April 4 after I followed up again on April 3.
However, the “fixed” images still contained additional minor inconsistencies, which I pointed out on April 4. As of April 10, I am still waiting for those corrections.
Overall, the experience showed a clear lack of professionalism and communication. I did request a partial refund since I decided it wasn't worth chasing up anymore, which the artist honoured but also meaning i paid 2 transaction fees.
Belms – https://x.com/belms
Belms is one of my favourite artists to work with, and I have commissioned her multiple times. She is highly professional, communicates clearly, and typically responds within one to two days. Belms is also very supportive throughout the commission process, often contributing valuable ideas and creative input. While her prices are on the higher end, the quality of work, attention to detail, and overall experience make it well worth the investment.
Poplee – https://x.com/popleeArtX
Poplee is a highly underrated artist with whom I have completed two commissions. He is extremely professional, providing clear and precise completion timelines and consistently delivering on schedule. Communication is excellent, with responses typically arriving within the same day. Poplee is also collaborative and open to sharing ideas during the commission process. His pricing is very affordable, particularly for pinups and comic pages, and his strong attention to detail and artistic eye make him a pleasure to work with.
