Basilisks can create the deserts they live in, but the Sonoran desert was here before I arrived. Honest! (I'm in Arizona, if you don't know where the Sonoran desert is.)
Occasionally inspired to write short scenes of characters loosely based on actual events (autobiografictional, to use a word coined by Lynda Barry) and fetish pieces.
Broke out of the shell thinking I was asexual, but then I found out I was super gay when I met

Say hello if you still go to Tapestries or FurryMUCK!
Sometimes found at other sites:

And maybe some other places as well!

End of April, ready for May? (G)
Back into the summner slump (I've got two more weeks before I can really start slumping--almost). I'm a day late because...um...oh yeah, it's Mayternity May? Yeah, that's a good reason.
First up from YouTube, drawing a House Basilisk (by Payton T. Rink.) I will say that he's got an impressively long tail! And impressive plumage at the end.
Another video, this one hosted on Facebook: development of a full back cockatrice tattoo. Looks pretty complex, fairly colorful.
And as a final thought: if I ever find myself down under in New South Wales, I'll know just the place: 16 Basilisk Place!
I wish I could live on a Basilisk street somewhere. There's a Dragon Street here...but no Basilisk Drive, or Cockatrice Way. Not even a Circle or Parkway. Sigh.
I mentioned I could almost start slumping soon. I let myself get talked into filling a position at work that I know I can do but I'm not going to do it very enthusiastically. I don't want to go into details; I suppose the closest thing would be that it's related to management/front line employee communication and planning (at least whatever planning they allow and believe we are capable of, since after all what do the people who actually do the work know). I was told "You'll be perfect, you're so laid back." I was flattered since I am quite a productive layer, thank you very much. But I'm afraid they're mistaking laziness for being laid back. They'll find out. :>
