Well, it's about time I actually made a new journal. I admit it's kind of one of those things that's hard to due given the subject matter of the last one, but it's time I do so.

Yesterday, January 30th, was my birthday. Now 26 years old. Bleegghh. I've not wanted to acknowledge my birthday for a while given past events that happened during or on it in years past, but, as stated before, you don't move on by ignoring or dwelling on the issue, so I'll try and be a bit more vocal about it in the future (per the demands of many other people so far @.=.@).

I hope everyone has had a happy new year so far! It's been a bit chaotic since I had to buy a new car in a rush the last week of 2016, so that has been keeping me hopping around. Never had a new car before, so the idea of having such a large payment on it on top of rent, while also trying to look for a house to move into has kept me in a pretty constant mild state of panic. It's in my budget and all as long as I don't do anything stupid, but the burden is still there. (I got a blue 2016 Honda Fit, by the way. Used to have a 97 accord with 313k miles on it before the transmission called it quits!)

In more fun news, if anyone is planning to go to Furthemore this year, let me know as well since so far I'm planning to go there with Myr this year. We'll have to meet up there and hang out at some point! Didn't work out due to some scheduling issues, but I'm still going to be in Baltimore again mid-May!
