The Final Goodbye and a New Beginning (G)
2 years have passed since the FRL has gone quiet but from the ashes rises a new championship, Furmula One
Hey Guys, It's
masterbucks. The other guy involved with the FRL and.... Well, It's been a long time. I think it's time that I fill you guys in with everything that's been going on since the last update and give you guys a final update and answer a few questions.
Well, On the front of the FRL. There's not much to say. Since Randall and I put the project on hiatus, There has not been much progress. However, Not long after we put in on hiatus. Randall decided to give me full power over the FRL and his blessing to find someone else to help me run the project. It wasn't long until I found someone else to take the lead role on the project. My good friend from the FBA,
JWolfman.
JWolf took over the main commissioner role for the FRL while Randall went on hiatus for personal reasons from most if not all of the other leagues for the rest of 2017. During the 2-3 months we planned to do the FRL for 2017, We received quite a bit of interest from people interested in putting in drivers and teams while the FTCC received barely any interest. If we were to continue on with the project, We would drop the Touring Car aspect of the championship. Anyone still interested in Furry Touring Cars can pick it up and create their own championship. In fact, We would be very happy if someone did create a Furry Touring Car Championship but we're starting to get off topic.
So after that decision, It was decided that the FRL would mainly be a Open-Wheel based series. Things were looking like they might have been able to start. Later than expected but still start, However. After reassessing the situation, It was decided that rFactor was not suitable for the league. Not only was it difficult to set-up the way we wanted it but it also wasn't going to be able to do what we wanted to do with it in terms of simulation which meant we had no scheduling and no simulator. Disaster. The FRL would not run in 2017 or 2018 for that matter.
We both agreed that until we could find suitable software that could handle what we wanted it to do, We would hold off doing the FRL. Two years would pass. I would continue to run the Furry Australian Football League while also starting a podcast called Furry Sports News or FSN for short while JWolf would do stuff with his characters in the FBA and run their Development League while also occasionally writing episodes for Furry Championship Wrestling. I was content with things and didn't even expect that the software would be found for us to do this. That was until JWolf messaged me to tell me that he had found it. The software we needed to sim our races.
After testing out the software, We found that it was suitable to use for a Furry Motorsport and while the FRL is finished, Furmula One has arrived!
That’s right, After two years of holding on the idea and waiting. We’re happy to announce that we will be launching Furmula One and that you can check things out right now as we have an FA page and a Discord Server for it and are now accepting teams and drivers for the championship. It might be the end for the Furry Racing League but it is a new beginning with Furmula One. If you were interested in the FRL and what Randall and I were planning to do, You need to join us at
FurmulaOne where you can enter your drivers and teams into the championship and keep track of everything that will happen in the 2019 Furmula One Season.
You can also join us on our Furmula One Discord Server where you can contact JWolf and I along with other friendly people who have decided to jump into the world of Furmula One. We can help you out there with ideas for Drivers and Teams or you just come by for a chat with some like-minded people who are furries. We’re always happy to talk.

So that’s it for the Furry Racing League. Don’t think of it as a premature ending, Think of it as a new beginning. While the FRL name is now forever gone, The idea of bring a Top Furry Motorsports Series into the universe of the FBA, UFFL, FAFL and now the UFLB… Lives on!
Bryan Shadowolf,
Former Co-Commissioner of the FRL and Co-Commissioner of Furmula One.
While the Checkered Flag has been brought out for the Furry Racing League, We advance onto Furmula One with the optimism of a bright future ahead for Furry Motorsport
